Went on a Saturday night and called ahead to have name put on list as they do not accept reservations. We arrived and had about a 20 minute wait. Service was excellent. Margaritas were over the top and food was authentic mexican. Had to avoid anything fried as they used same oil for fish and other fried foods. I am... More

We ordered the seafood enchilada dinner, 2 steak tacos no sides with extra cilantro and chips n guacamole. The total was $33. Charged us $12 for a combo and another $12 for a combo. I didn't order a combo. They charge $8.50 for chips n guacamole, which was completely flavorless as were the steak tacos. They didn't ask what kind... More

We love the food at the Hectors off 84th & Center. Never had anything that wasn't good. The tamales are great. The marguaritas are super good and there is a a good selection of tequilas & beers. They have carry-out too. It's pretty small so not recommended for large parties. The service is inconsistant but the food is so good... More

Salsa is nice. They charged us for a second basket of chips which I thought was pretty crummy! Also asked for additional tortillas with the chicken fajitas and they charged for those as well. So until I got the bill I thought we had found a pretty good place, not so sure now as the value matters a lot to... More

Margaritas and food were below average and expensive at that. Will not return. My favorite restaurant, Margaritas, has closed for good.

Went to Hector's on a Thursday night for dinner. It wasn't busy. They have a huge menu. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas. The salsa and chips are enough of an appetizer, knowing the food will be filling. The waitress refilled the salsa, too. I had the raspberry chipotle chicken, which came with a good leaf lettuce salad and mexican... More

The salsa is good, The bill was really high, especially considering the waiter told us since my husband wasn't a gringo that he'd take care of us. We had 4 people and 3 alcoholic beverages. The tab was about 30 dollars more than a trip to the Texas Roadhouse with 3 appetizers and 4 meals plus drinks. The food wasn't... More

Good margaritas, enchiladas, well all the food. I guess they call it baja style, so fish taco are great.

In a city with hundreds of Mexican restaurants, this one stands out with serving authentic, fresh Mexican food. The restaurant was crowded and though we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated, it was worth the wait while sipping a Margarita. We enjoyed enchiladas and shrimp fajitas. We had excellent service, prompt and glasses of water refilled without asking.... More

I've been going to Hector's since 2003 with never disappointing food and only a handful of service issues (1 of of maybe 40-50 visits). I do tend to go when it's not peak time (5pm) so everything seems fresh, tastes and service is hard to get wrong. I love thier Chimichangas, Margaritas, enchiladas and sopapillas or flan (custard) for dessert.... More
