This was a surprise. A friend suggested I try this place, and I finally had a couple of friends out so we hit it for dinner. When you walk in, you get the feeling of an old, traditional Italian restaurant - you can smell the sauce in the air. The food was really good, and they served enough to make... More

I was impressed with the service it was fantastic. But the price point...$21 for a dry chicken piccata and it was a small chicken breast. Downtown Chicago at Eataly, I can order a three chicken thigh dish for $19 with an Italian bread salad acutrimon. Personally, I rather skip the added soup/salad and have more to my main dish. Potatoes... More

One of the few remaining Family Italian Restaurant left in Omaha. We have always had to wait but the food always worth the wait (which should be a sign that food is good). We have lived in Omaha forever and find the comment about a bad neighborhood as some what confusing. It maybe an older neighborhood but it is block... More

This is a family owned restaurant and it kind of shows. We were to this location for a group dinner while in town on a business trip. They said that they didn't take reservations but if we called ahead they would set aside a table for our group...okay? At our table a few requests were made for substitutions and all... More

Absolutely wonderful. Fresh, home made. Made us feel welcome. We had been there for College World Series. Owners welcomed our fans to Omaha. Seated people at closing time. I would go back again.

This restaurant has very good Italian food. It's a family-owned place, a bit off the beaten track. We had to drive through some pretty bad neighborhoods to get to it. I would say it was worth the drive, except the server seemed to be looking down her nose at us throughout most of the meal. She explained the bottle of... More

We planned on going to Cassio's, but it was still closed for remodeling. Sometime things happen for a reason. Our Valet from the Magnolia suggested Lo Sole Mio Ristrante. Took only a few minutes from Downtown to get there. Absolutely fabulous atmosphere, very Italian... I had the Filet Special, with Fresh Asparagus, and Spaghetti. The food was wonderful, the waitress... More

This is not gourmet Italian, but it is very good for what it is--a no frills, old-fashioned Omaha style Italian pasta joint. There are other things on the menu, but pasta is king. The portions are huge (you will take home leftovers unless dishes are shared), and the food is like what you would have eaten on weekends if your... More

Lucky for us, someone recommended Lo Solo Mio. Although very crowded, we were seated within 5 minutes. The service was a bit slow due to the large crowd, but our waitress was very attentive. Fresh salad and large entrees that were substantial enough to share. The veal Marsala was oh so tender. I recommend this popular local spot.

The staff was immediately welcoming and treated us like family. Service was never lacking and we felt as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. They start you off with complimentary fresh baked rolls and a combination of infused oil, fresh garlic, roasted tomatoes & parmesan cheese to dip your bread in.The food, (while good & portions too...
