This is not a restaurant you will forget! Amazing atmosphere and equally amazing food. This is an upper end restaurant, you will not get in out for two for much less than $250.00, but if you enjoy amazing food, I say splurge. more

As a vegetarian, I'm used to being offered fettucine Alfredo (or nothing at all) in many restaurants. Not so at V. Mertz-the vegetarian offering was an imaginative pasta dish with eggplant, ricotta cheese, and vegetables. Portions appeared small at first, but turned out to be exactly the right size to leave room for dessert. My husband enjoyed his salmon and... more

One enters V Mertz through a covered passageway between two exposed brick walls verdant with flowers. The restaurant decor is elegant but warm with soft pools of lighting. The evening we dined there, Executive Chef Kyle Anderson sent out an amuse bouche with a spoonful of salmon ceviche, a round of savory quinoa and tiny ramekin of tasty truffle... more

Every meal looks like art! Cooked to perfection, and they explain every last detail about the plate and what it is cooked in and what it is. They have a high regard to detail. The restaurant is very elegant and very romantic. Expect to pay a lot no less than 70 per person not including their wide range of wine,... more

I have lived all over the U.S. and traveled the globe. While I do have a bias being from the Midwest, I can say based on great culinary experience that V Mertz is one of the best restaurants - period. Care and detail go into every recipe. Flavor matters, and it shows. The food is to be savored as a... more

For a birthday celebration, we went here. Never again. The food isn't that great and definitely not worth the price. Beef doesn't have to be shipped that far in NE and beef now is cheap in supermarkets. V Mertz has a huge margin of profit for the meals. This week we are going anywhere else. more

While the prices usually make it a "special event" restaurant I would recommend V Mertz to travelers who want an excellent meal from a locally owned and operated place. Dinner for two with wine will probably run over $100. more

I will preface this review by saying I travel all over the country taking customers and reps out to very good restaurants. After reading the reviews here, I took my local Omaha rep out to dinner with his wife. First, the location is great. It looks like the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. The actual restaurant is quaint but... more
