A Blast from the Past!

Very casual pizza and other Italian fare. Great for families and large groups. The atmosphere is very casual and seems very 1970's, but that is part of the charm. The pizza was thin crust and was decent enough. I prefer deep dish Chicago style pizza. Overall, an enjoyable place, just don't... read more

A friend invited us out to eat and recommended Big Fred's. With a name like "Big Fred's," I was weary about the quality of the food. It turned out to be pretty good. Glad I went; the food was good. Service was great.

Big Fred's was a suggestion from family in the area as a must try. We were not disappointed. If I saw it from the road, I probably would not have stopped, but don't let that stop you! The pizza was great! My husband ordered a burger and onion rings and that was wonderful too. The onions rings seemed homemade!

Go straight for the largest pizza, half hamburger and half Hawaiian - simply stellar for 40 some years. Place is not fancy but the pizza is addictive!

Slow service , barely warm food, waitress a snob, and manager thinks it is your job to fix those problems!

Took an entire 17U baseball team and their parents to this restaurant because it came with high recommendations of one of the family's. We had a group of 33 and without hesitation our server swooped in and took complete control. She kept all the tickets separate and organized, the drinks were served immediately, and she was attentive to everyone. When... More

My family has been going to Big Fred's for Thirty years. When Fred was around, it was very good food and friendly. They were known for using real hamburger(not pellets) and excellent ingredients. It was a Family atmosphere with good service. Not Now!! My wife and I just bought the worst pizza ever. It might have been real hamburger (I... More

Had one of the worst Chicken Breast sandwich I've ever had. Service was so slow I had to have my order packaged to take (over 40 min) should have left it! This chicken went down fighting! it was so tough I couldn't chew through it. Onion rings had so much coating could hardly taste the onions but they were so... More

I went here with 29 other people after a volleyball tournament. We were seated in the back room. The server suggested getting a pitcher of a couple of different pops, some appetizers, salad, and pizza. She then set glasses with ice, plates, silverware, napkins, and all of the drinks and food on one table and we all went around the... More

I can't believe the negative reviews, Maybe there were a few bad days? I love their ground beef pizza. I love the beef they use and the half inch thick cheese ( my sister always asks for extra cheese when she orders) I love their sauce and I love their pizza! I know Chicago is suppose to be the place... More
