An amazing experience

We visited the Grey Plume during restaurant week, the menu was a great representation of what they offer and the chef's best plates. I would highly recommend The Grey Plume for your next date or celebration!

The first time I came here it was straight off an airplane and solely on the review of the duck fat fries...completely worth it just on that (I recommend some truffle shavings, but I'm a truffle nut). I ended up staying for nearly three hours just by sitting at the bar and watching the staff create each piece of every... More

We did a girl's night out and had a fantastic dinner! It's a small restaurant and I recommend making a reservation. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, we didn't feel rushed at all. Very easy to have table conversation without shouting. Our waiter did a great job of answering questions about the menu and suggesting a bottle of wine we... More

We are HUGE local, sustainable, farm-to-table fans. For all the hype about this restaurant it's hard to see how the grapefruit, white truffles, and a variety of other ingredients could have been billed as 'local' or the plastic-wrapped 'farewell cookies' could be considered 'green'. Excessive salt on the bread, pasta entree, pork taster entree, even the salad and other dishes... More

This is one of those reviews that brevity may be best! If you like adventurous eating , with food as an art form, but you don't want to pay New York prices , get your behind down here. Service is superb, but the taste and texture of the food is akin to wonderful Sushi in that it will tantalize your... More

The local concept exemplified in The Grey Plume is very worth a visit and a try. The food is fantastic, and as a Celiac, they will do everything possible to accommodate.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at The Grey Plume while we were in Omaha. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The food was really yummy! I appreciated that it was all locally based. I started with the asparagus soup, which I enjoyed. For the main course, I had the pork tasting and my boyfriend had the... More

Reservations recommended. We were seated right away and had the own filtered water poured almost immediately. The menu is creative and purchased locally, and changes quite often. The food was delicious and hot. The pork tasting was very impressive and elegantly presented. Wide variety of pork cuts and each cut prepared differently. This is one of the best restaurants in... I had dinner at this highly rated restaurant. They are a farm to table restaurant and make just about everything in-house: bread, butter, cured meats, confit, etc. Innovative. Very good service. Very pleasant ambience. Beautiful presentation. Excellent drinks and duck fries. I was, however, disappointed with a too-salty spinach and fennel salad as well as an inconsistent heritage pork-tasting menu.... More

The Grey Plume is an interesting, unique restaurant in Omaha's Midtown Crossing district. The menu offers a range of intriguing possibilities, depending on the evening, with such dishes as trout, pork tastings, scallops, beef samplers, and more. Members of our party of four, each of whom had a different entree, were uniformly pleased with both food and service. We received... More
