We dined Saturday evening at The Grey Plume with reservations. We waited about 10mins to be seated which was okay. We were seated at a lovely table in a romantic setting. Then we waited, and waited, and waited some more. Finally our drink order was taken. I wanted a recommendation on the wine list and was given a blank stare.... More

This is the true local foods and chef inspired food. Three of the best meals of my entire life were here. The menu is fairly small and might seem like it can't delivery variety. However, the quality of the food and the indescribable journey of flavors is hard to describe. Even simple dishes like squash soup become an amazingly sophisticated... More

The Grey Plume is the perfect restaurant for a special occasion. My husband took me there for my birthday in February, and we had a delightful evening. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The presentation of the food is artistic and creative. Since the Grey Plume is very expensive, we'll return only for a birthday or anniversary.

My wife and I have eaten here at least a half dozen times and every meal is as good or better than the last, the emphasis of every flavor and the consistency of texture makes every meal here a pleasure. It's one of those serene places that is quieter than your average place due to the focus of everyone on... More

My wife and I went here with great expectations, but we probably won't go back. I had the carrot salad and the pork main dish. Both were outstanding. Multiple levels of flavor. I would definitely order both again. She had the potato soup, and the trout. She liked the soup, but the trout was bad. She described it as dirty... More

I had the opportunity to finally try Grey Plume at a client dinner. Menu is a one page limited options. It is expensive, prices average $30 for main dish, although there is a burger for $16. Our waitress was intimate with the menu. She recommended the cheese & meat starter plate for $21, which served 2-3 people. It had an... More

We went for an anniversary celebration. I expected to be blown away from everything I had read and heard about this place. I wanted to love it because of all the hype and the award winning chef. I love that the chef uses locally sourced, farm to table ingredients. Our server was super friendly, maybe even a little too talkative,... More

The food is creative and exquisite. The service was wonderful. I quizzed her a lot on the dishes and she didn't mind. The atmosphere was lovely, and the music was so nice. They make many of their own ingredients from the butter and cheese to tonic. Most or much of the food is locally sourced. The big difference is the... More

Unlike other restaurants which rely heavily upon their newness to the scene, this place has serious staying power. Our first visit was several years ago the night they opened, and it just keeps getting better each time. The regional delicacies are outstanding, but be ready for a letdown if you fall in love with one of them. Chances are you... More
