Authentic dive

Stopped here while driving through Nebraska. I wanted the Italian beef, but they were out, so I had the ricotta pancakes instead. Refreshingly delicious! The restaurant is a tad dingy, the waitress was crabby, but the bathrooms were super clean and the food was good. Worth a trip.

Some co-workers and I stopped in on a Sunday morning and had breakfast. I got the biscuits and gravy and they were really good. I also ordered the italian sausage and while I personally would have liked it a little spicier - it was very good too. The guys I were with seemed to enjoy their breakfast as well. A... More

Decided to revisit Amato's after 5 years - had just an average breakfast again. The biscuit and gravy concoction with eggs, potatoes, and cheese named Larry's Volcano was just OK but the sausage gravy was really good. My wife had risotto and blueberry pancakes that were undercooked. Prices were a little high for what we got. No reason to return... More

The Italian steak for breakfast is THE best. Limited hours, but if you want great food, you get there when they're open!

the food and service were ok! but that bigoted owner spoiled the whole experience. he said to the table of folks he was sitting with that "we should take wyoming and utah and give it to the blacks and mexicans, make them all move there and stay there." if i hadn't just about finished my meal i would have walked... This is the pinnacle of what you know as a diner. It is very comfortable and relaxed. You can tell when you enter that it is a place that has many, many regulars. Our server was Kathy and she seemed to know everyone and everyone knows her. Her service is very casual and efficient. The food is excellent and with... More

This place is, for all intents and purposes - a dump. But the food is delicious. I loved the ricotta pancakes with blueberries. Coffee was refilled before my mug was empty. I have been to Amato's in the past for lunch. For real italian, I highly recommend this place. Get there early because parking is very limited and do not... More

Get there at off meal times and find a place to park. The parking lot only holds 8 cars and everyone tows around the place. But the good is perfect. The ricotta very berry pancakes are like a piece of heaven with butter and hot syrup. This ain't breakfast, this is like an Italian dessert. The sausage sandwich with peppers... More

Whenever we travel, we like to eat someplace on the beloved Triple D or Man v. Food shows and this was the winning restaurant this trip. We went here for breakfast due to our hotel's breakfast being less than appetizing...and we are so glad we did! My sister and I both ordered the Ricotta Pancakes with Triple Berries...these are seriously... More

Was through on business and stopped for breakfast at what is typically a decent stop at any BW restaurant. Avoid this like the plague. It was awful. If one dot could be halved for a rating this was one.
