Fresh seafood

We had anchovies, shrimp, land and sea salads. All were fresh and plenty to eat. Service was great. No complaints at all. Weather was superb, sitting by the river watching fish and people going by. Waite staff was very helpful

We had lunch here today and what a disappointment. Every year for the last 5 years we have visited this lovely town and have had a lovely seafood inspired lunch on a patio next to the Sorgue river. But the New owners ( since we last visited a year ago) do not know how to cook! Greasy soggy french fries,... More

There were 6 of us. We made a reservation for 1:30 and were seated at 2. Orders were forgotten, service was painfully slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed. An order for John Dory was forgotten all together and when it finally came, 30 minutes late, it had clearly been cooked earlier and just warmed up. Frequent reminders for ice, beer,... More

sitting on the terrace alongside the Sorgue with a bottle of Sancerre and a seafood platter, oysters, mussels, clams and crab and of course friends. Absolutely delicious, staff very friendly and amazing position along the river. If you can sit outside do so, much better than inside. We ate there twice in two days and we were not disappointed, great... More

Quite expensive, but food was tasty but fairly ordinary. Atmosphere friendly, and you were not rushed.

right by the river, under a marquee with one of those misting systems to keep you cool, l'ecailler is a lovely, civilised and low-key place to enjoy a fish lunch. service was friendly, the wine selection was good, the fish / seafood excellent. a great place to watch the world go by. Sure there are many restaurants in this town,... More

We had dinner here... I had the " brochette de poisson " i.e seafood kebabs..... salmon pieces were very dry. Not worth the 17 euros! My wife had the " mussels roquefort"... very nice and 13.50 euros. We noticed that almost every diner, ( mostly french speaking) ordered mussel dishes, so this is obviously what they are known for!

Finally got some moules et frites á la Roquefort no less!! Wonderful spot on the river near la gare antiques, L'Isle de la Sorgue. WOW, this town is where I'm coming to shop when I have a home in Provence!

A great place to have lunch after shopping at the market. Their moules frites are some of the best we've had. It does get busy so reserving a table is recommended.

A really good small family owned Fish restaurant, the service although busy was excellent The food was first class. Sitting by the river in the sun with good Rose wine perfect. The town is very special a hidden gem.
