Wonderful seafood restaurant

Had a wonderful meal at this delightful restaurant overlooking the river. The food was faultless and the staff excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely spot by river on main drag good for people watching on market day. We had oyster platter, very fresh and well served. Noticed excellence of waiting staff who were unusually attentive for France. They were particularly helpful to non french speakers. Nice food, moderate price, would go back

The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. The swordfish was delicious. My dad had the seafood salad with was huge, he couldn't finish it. It was a bit more expensive, but was worth it for the quality and amour of seafood you received the service was very good as well.

We had heard that Provence has the best food in France, and our first night in Provence, we went to L'Ecailler and it lived up to the reputation. Christine runs the restaurant and she is wonderful. We had grilled sole and lobster ravioli. My sole was cooked to perfection - so tender and fresh with a hint of pesto sauce... More

This is a seafood specialist restaurant but my wife and I for once fancied steak. The steak etc. was ok and the wine great, however the stand out was the service and friendliness of the staff, something that is missing in L'Isle sur la Sorgue. The location is great, would i go back, yes but seafood next time.

We had a very pleasant meal on the patio overlooking the Sorgue River, which is really one of the main attractions here. The menu is fairly extensive, and consists mostly of fresh seafood. Our meals were very good, though everything was a bit on the expensive side. The service was excellent - extremely friendly, efficient, and courteous. I'd recommend if... More

We started with 2 dozen plump fresh oysters with a tangy eschallotte vinaigrette, freshly baked bread and butter. The wine, a Guigal Cotes du Rhone was beautifully chilled. My partner's sea bass was perfectly cooked and subtly seasoned, a small stack of aubergine a perfect accompaniment. My swordfish steak was well grilled, succulent and tasty, accompanied also by an aubergine... More

If you stop there, ask for the "trout" ! It's local and so tasty... They also have great white wines that will go well with all kind of fishes you may like... Some of us had a crush on these lobsters bringing to life the fish tank, it was excellent ! And of course, the location is amazing, you're almost... More

We had lunch here today and what a disappointment. Every year for the last 5 years we have visited this lovely town and have had a lovely seafood inspired lunch on a patio next to the Sorgue river. But the New owners ( since we last visited a year ago) do not know how to cook! Greasy soggy french fries,... More

There were 6 of us. We made a reservation for 1:30 and were seated at 2. Orders were forgotten, service was painfully slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed. An order for John Dory was forgotten all together and when it finally came, 30 minutes late, it had clearly been cooked earlier and just warmed up. Frequent reminders for ice, beer,... More
