If you read all the reviews below, then all I need to type is... ditto, ditto, ditto. If you are ever in L'isle Sur La Sorge, I would recommend the short stroll over to Rue Canot for something delightful from Patisserie Leyris. We were within pajama walking distance from our apartment, so for us it became an every-morning event. Some... More

Read about this bakery and the manager of apartment we are staying at recommended it. Unfortunately owners were away this past weekend, so waited until this morning to try it. Definitely my favorite bakery in this town. Everything was wonderful - croissants, bread, pastries (particularly the apricot pastry and sacristan).

If you have not yet experienced "sacristan", you must run, not walk, to Leyris Patisserie in L'isle-sur-la-sourge. Sacristan is a longish (12") pastry made of twisted, flaky, caramelized bits, sprinkled with powdered sugar. I am not one for flaky kinds of pastry, but this delicacy, converted me. Perhaps even transformed me. And, don't stop there: try their breads too -... More

Mondays are the only bad bit about the Leyris - they are closed. Six days a week they are top of the heap in a town not undersupplied with boulangeries in any way. For plain bread you can't go past the baguette tradition but definitely try one of their quiches. Either the smaller, individual ones or like we did today,... More

We've rented a house about 10 miles from this place. Have been in Paris and here in south central France near Avignon for 3 1/2 weeks. Have tried numerous bakeries in many towns. This is a standout. Flaky croissants, wonderful bread that stays fresh, beautiful pastries.... Until we happened here, disappointment in the industrial quality of many patisseries had led... More

We bought croissants for breakfast, baguettes for lunch and yummy sweet treats for desserts at home and were not disappointed any time.

We rented an apartment in L'Isle for two weeks in October 2012, and we shopped at this wonderful bakery a dozen times. We loved everything we tried: breads, quiches, pastries. Yummm!!

Every time I in am in the area, I go thre, even if I have to drive an extra 10 miles; it is that good. The pastries and chocolates are great, but the bread is the best ! The "boule" is the one I really like, and it keeps very well. Great people, too. You gotta give it a try;... More

A jewel. I've been living in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue just over 4 years now and I must have cycled past countless times. Never paid it much attention, just another boulangerie and here we have many. So, in May this year just before my sister, brother in law and niece came from overseas to visit me, my sister sent me a few TripAdvisor... More

This is a fabulous bakery! Everything is so good. I love their different types of baguettes especially their walnut baguette. I have ordered many specialty cakes and I have never been disappointed. Give it a try. You won't be sorry. Yum, yum.
