First dinner in town

Recommended by our hotel. A restaurant in a lovely garden. Served in set menu with some customization. We love it, especially both entrée.

Le Jardin du Quai is located near the railway station (gare SNCF) in Lisle-sur-Sorgue. The place is renowned for its antiquités shops. The building is a partially renovated villa with a large exotic garden offering a lot of quite welcome shadow. You mainly eat outside. No choice there other than a one fits all menu, made of 3 services). Things... More

On our first night in Provence, the owner of the mas where we were staying suggested we dine at Le Jardin. Needless to say, it was an absolutely lovely experience and every course was more delightful than the last. The chef cared enough to make a friendly appearance on the floor and my only regret was the weather, for the... More

Lunchmenu with fish and fish, a little bit too much fish. Entree (salad and fish) and maincourse (potatomash, a few vegetables and another piece of fish) both well cooked. But in some way, it didn't match. Dessert with fresh strawberrys very common. Wineglasses are the same as the thick waterglass. How would the white wine taste in a wineglass....? Nice... More

We lucked in at this place strolling past after market day. An open door in the roadside wall revealed a beautiful outdoor dining area in a welcoming garden. The food was very very good, each course was just what you want nice food to be - not overcomplicated, and delicious. This meal made our day and was certainly worth the... More

.....and pretty good in winter when inside too! The menu is small, often a fixed menu but with options if you should dislike or be allergic to their menu suggestions. I've been there oh so many times over the years and though there have been a few not so good visits, it's usually a terrific ambience and excellent menu. For... More

A lively group of antique dealers surrounded me in the garden, and all of us were eager to sample the lunchtime specials. The leafy courtyard of the century-old house across from the train station in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a celebrated riverside town of antiquaries. The chef offers an unadorned but sophisticated market- based menu in an appropriate atmosphere of retro chic, replete... More

During summertime it is helpful to make a reservation or you arrive at 07.30 PM . . Lovely garden to eat in , inside good in the wintertime. Professional waiters / waitresses , often new faces .One menu , cheaper at noon than in the evening . If there is an item you do not fancy they propose an alternative... More

This restaurant is literally off the beaten tracks, the railroad tracks. Just head toward the antiques section of town and you'll find it. It's where the locals go as well as a few tourists, like ourselves, who've been lucky enough to hear about it. We've enjoyed many a lunchtime there. Frankly, I can't remember what we ate, but only that... More

We could have stayed here all afternoon. The staff was friendly and the food great! We loved sitting outside in the garden during lunch but would have loved to have come back at night. Our waiter was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. There is just one menu so the joke was 'the choice is that you... More
