While staying at the Artic Adventure Hostel, an employee suggested Middle Way Cafe for a "good breakfast." I arrived early, around 7:30 am before the crowds on a Sunday morning. When I walked in this place, tucked in a strip mall near REI, I was hooked. The offerings were enticing. I ordered multigrain pancakes with bananas and blueberries, and a... More

We LOVE Middle Way Cafe! They have great gluten-free and vegan options, which is just awesome! They make fantastic pastries with rotating flavors each day. So good! Even though it can get pretty busy there, the staff is always super friendly.

Eclectic, often crowded, and a bit on the pricey side, Middle Way Cafe offers a wide variety of sandwiches, soup, salads, smoothies, and espresso drinks. The majority of the items are vegetarian/ vegan friendly, and all the food is extremely fresh and nutritious! Waiting for your order can sometimes take awhile, but if you come in at the right time... While we love the food at Middle Way Cafe, we find the crowded jostling for tables and the long waits for food to be enough to keep us away. Happy to visit early in the morning for a delicious breakfast burrito and smoothies, or coffee, before the crowds arrive. Today we arrived shortly before noon and had to wait 15... More

we ordered a tuna fish sandwich and a spicy chicken sandwich the chicken sandwich was very good but not at all spicy and the bread on the tuna sandwich was dry and not satisfying. I do want to say that the restaurant was clean and the service was good even though they were very busy. I do think this is... More

Enjoyed a magnificent Shepard's omlet with homefries, whole wheat sourdough toast & coffee. Others got oatmeal with whole grain.

Loved this cafe for its delicious and unique sandwiches. Turkey with cranberry sauce, avocado, and Tuscan Tuna...all were wonderfully prepared. I like the deli feel of this place. Lots of young people were there to liven things up! Looked like the locals loved this place. I didn't have any coffee, but the menu was extensive. I highly recommend this cafe.

We did not know what to expect. Boy were we surprised. The food was grand. I've made tofu/nut burgers at home but never had one in a restaurant. So we were delighted when we discovered that menu has a large assortment of tofu burgers. We each ordered a different tofu burger and were very satisfied with our orders. On Sundays... More

I came in for an omelette, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. My toast was heated, not toasted, and the orange juice was sugary and watered-down. Not freshly squeezed. Quiche options aren't always fresh and the coffee sometimes tastes like cough syrup - depending on the barista.

There huevos rancheros are delicious. The gluten free muffins are good and the carrot cake is awesome!
