There's a tradition in Greece of "Xenia" which refers to providing hospitality to strangers as if they were your family and Pizza Olympia is the living example. You might be greeted by the matriarch, Athena, or Georgia (half of the couple that are the primary operators - her husband George does most cooking).. The food is excellent: the dolmades are... More

Our family really enjoyed dining at Pizza Olympia! The food was delicious, menu was varied, and we appreciated the friendly service at this family-owned establishment. They truly make you feel like family! One of my favorite places we ate during our 2 weeks in Alaska!

I agree with another poster. Average. Not bad. Not good. Simply average. Pizza wasn't bad... crispy crust. Water came in the smallest glasses that I've ever seen. The owner came to speak to us, a nice touch, but too much was going on in the back of the restaurant with people (likely family) walking in and out and around everywhere.... More

I was here with my family. We got a pizza and a meatball sub. The people were friendly. The place was clean. And the food was just ok. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. An average place.

I have to start by saying I spent a month in an Anchorage Hospital and was under some very strict dietary restrictions. I wanted great Italian or Greek and called several Anchorage restaurants to see if they could cook me a meal with no salt. They were the only one that said yes. When we arrived Mrs. Marouda, met us... More

We had a very good pizza when we dined at this family run restaurant. The owner came out and checked on us a couple of times and shook our hands before we left. Yes, the interior is a little dated, but that's part of the charm of this restaurant! The menu contains both Italian and Greek dishes. Service was attentive.... More

We love this hole-in-the-wall restaurant....family run, delicious Greek spices in the food, and a warm and intimate atmosphere inside. It's convenient in mid-town Anchorage, near REI.

The first time I went to Pizza Olympia and had their Gyro, was an exhilerating experience. Wow! It was fantastic. The bread, which is way different from the soft pita bread usually served with a Gyro, this was wonderful. The Taziki sauce had the best flavor and texture I have ever had on a Gyro. The service is fantastic, they... More

Ordered the Mediteranian Pasta and Baklahva - the food was outstanding. Delviery was right on time as noted (45 minutes). Already have spent 75 nights at Marriotts so far this year and I order delivery when I'm at Courtyards and need to work - for sure, this is the BEST delivery with high quality food. Don't let the name Pizza... More

Love these guys! We love the Mama Mia pizza. Every time we call the owner thanks us for our business which is almost unheard of nowadays. What a sweetheart! Good food and service with a smile even through the telephone. Our family is going to be making this our favorite spot. Thanks for offering a well needed and long lost... More
