Authentic Italian Food

From the time you enter you are greeted and seated from their friendly staff. The menu is quite extensive so you could have trouble with deciding on what to eat. The restaurant opens at 2:00 pm which is the best time to go because it is not busy at all and you get all of the attention. Husband had... read more

It is pretty romantic place and food usually is very good. However I had halibut stuffed with seafood and with lobster souse and it was awful. The souse was ridiculously salty and stuffing was ground seafood with bread so it didn't taste as seafood at all.

As some of you know: If I can make it better at home, your food is 'Average'. Sorrento's, a long time attraction here in Anchorage, AK, tucked away on Fireweed AV has a large customer base and was crowded, still, for what I thought would be a late dinner. We were seated with minimal wait, in spite of the crowd... More

Been over a year since I've been back. The meals were starting to disappoint. Went back and ordered the Scampi Dela Casa. Very good flavors. Ordered with the pasta and that was okay. I keep wanting to order the pizza but get caught up with the pasta dishes instead. I'd recommend this place.

I've always loved Sorrentos! Spaghetti and Meatballs are my favorite! Includes a delish side salad (or awesome minestrone) and garlic bread. All flavorful! Steaks, pizza and calazones all great too! Don't forget spumoni afterwards! :) atmosphere great! Super clean and staff are so nice! Go! Now!

This restaurant was not right downtown, so if you don't have transportation you're going to miss out on a great place. They served halibut 6 different ways! Our group got four of them and each of us was very pleased. Ambiance was typical Italian, service was friendly, and the garlic bread that comes with dinner was worth going by itself.

If you are looking for old-fashioned, excellent pizza and Italian food--this is the place. We've been regulars for 20+ years...from when they used to have grape vines on the ceiling! It's now a hip, comfortable place to relax and enjoy great food Just the right amount of pizza sauce, never greasy, and terrific, tasty crust. Also love the Torrnedos Siciliano--best,... More

We enjoyed the Sorrento Special pizza, it was very good. The service was very good, thanks Jack. The decor was okay. It is a great local place to eat.

This is my son's favorite restaurant and we eat here several times a year. His favorite item is the meat calzone, but tonight he switched it up for the Hawaiian calzone. The calzones are enormous and big enough to feed two people. It was full of mozzarella, canned pineapple and Canadian bacon. It arrived piping hot at our table and... More

This place used to have the BEST crust -- I sincerely hope my pizza (eaten last evening) was not the way it's going to be from now on. Their famous crust used to be yeasty and chewy -- the crust last eve was flat -- not at all like normal. Similar to cheaper places. If this is the case they've... More
