This restaurant was not right downtown, so if you don't have transportation you're going to miss out on a great place. They served halibut 6 different ways! Our group got four of them and each of us was very pleased. Ambiance was typical Italian, service was friendly, and the garlic bread that comes with dinner was worth going by itself.

If you are looking for old-fashioned, excellent pizza and Italian food--this is the place. We've been regulars for 20+ years...from when they used to have grape vines on the ceiling! It's now a hip, comfortable place to relax and enjoy great food Just the right amount of pizza sauce, never greasy, and terrific, tasty crust. Also love the Torrnedos Siciliano--best,... More

We enjoyed the Sorrento Special pizza, it was very good. The service was very good, thanks Jack. The decor was okay. It is a great local place to eat.

This is my son's favorite restaurant and we eat here several times a year. His favorite item is the meat calzone, but tonight he switched it up for the Hawaiian calzone. The calzones are enormous and big enough to feed two people. It was full of mozzarella, canned pineapple and Canadian bacon. It arrived piping hot at our table and... More

This place used to have the BEST crust -- I sincerely hope my pizza (eaten last evening) was not the way it's going to be from now on. Their famous crust used to be yeasty and chewy -- the crust last eve was flat -- not at all like normal. Similar to cheaper places. If this is the case they've... More

I think its ridiculous that people think Romano's has prepackaged food. I went there with my family and loved it. I know all the chefs in the kitchen have been to culinary school. They have the best food made fresh and cooked to perfection. The people who usually complain are the ones that try to get money out of this... More

Great atmosphere, this is our favorite restaurant in Anchorage! Great food, I love their chicken with mushrooms. Plus great wine. You can't go wrong here. Very friendly staff as well.

We were a party of five who all ordered different entres. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, the waiter was excellent, and the food was great. The prices were reasonable by Anchorage standards which is always much higher than in the lower 48. I would recommend this restaurant over many others in Anchorage.

Hadn't been to Sorrento's for a while so anxious to get some scrumptious Italian food. Everything was as good as it could get. Food was hot and delicious, wine list was extensive and staff was very knowledgable, Good place to meet friends for a relaxing evening.

Our family of 4 showed up during the week at 5:30 pm for dinner. We were somewhat surprised that others who came in behind us, got their food first. Usually in this city if you have a toddler with you, service is pretty prompt. Our dinner was almost 2 hours. As for the food, it was delicious with large portions,... More
