Anchorage surprise

I was a little surprised to find this quality Asian themed restaurant in Anchorage. A great change of pace from the brew houses and bars of Anchorage. Not cheap but reasonable value.

I have heard this is a good place to eat and tried it for the first time last week. The evening atmosphere was very relaxed, semi-formal and nice. The food choice were not overly extensive and the food itself was delicious. I had the scallops mac and cheese that evening, it was excellent. The next day our group ended up... More

...well, dinner, too. Their special yesterday was a lobster roll - oh my gosh, was that ever good! You can always expect a great meal at Ginger, but this was exceptional. Great food and a great staff to serve you.

The restaurant is very nice, and the service is excellent. The food is even better. We dined in one night, and I ordered the panang curry with tofu (as a substitute for the meat). They also have another curry option with tofu. It was so delicious that I ordered pick up the next night instead of getting room service at... More

The atmosphere of the place is very nice, but I didn't stay. I was tired from travel and really wanted higher end food to take back to my hotel. They were happy to accommodate. I had the ginger soy ceasar salad and spicy Thai noodle soup. Perfect!

Great atmosphere, excellent service, and most of all, the food is delicious - they even have a couple of terrific vegan dishes.

Having tasted many craft cocktails in my day, I'd put the drinks at Ginger's up against anybody. Always fresh ingredients mixed to create their unique taste. Outstanding bar. The food shares company with the best in town, but slightly cheaper than other top restaurants. The best appetizers in town. Do not pass on the lettuce wraps. Entrees are equally of... More

We had tickets to see Celtic Woman at the PAC and had dinner at Ginger before the show. It was my first time dining at the restaurant and it really lived up to its hype. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet cozy, and the service was perfect. I am vegetarian and my dining companion is a true meat lover and the... More
