We were in Anchorage for a couple of nights after traveling around from Fairbanks and Talkeetna for a week. Consequently we were in need of something to tickle our taste buds. Ginger is in a street a couple of blocks from the Historic Anchorage Hotel where we stayed. We did not book but walked straight in after a nice pre-dinner... More

The two items we had from their menu were fantastic. We had the Panang beef curry and the Mee Krob. The beef was in a very rich and thick curry sauce with beef slices, bean sprouts and other thinly sliced vegetables. It was so flavorful and spicy that it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The Mee Krob... More

I understand, this is a very popular place and indeed it was crowded the night we visited.. But here are the things I absolutely hated: 1. Bathroom- pretty dirty, considering its an upscale restaurant 2. Server/ Waiter forgot the 2 ITEMS we ordered and came back twice to ask us what we ordered.. really ? Its only 2 entrees and... More

We were there for a late lunch so were only able to order from the bar menu. However, the service was good and everything we ordered was very tasty.

We enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer and the curry. Both where very good. Our service was pleasant bit very slow. They apologized and took care of the app. Overall we would go back.

We dined here with friends and really enjoyed appetizers, the salmon special and some yummy desserts. The ginger mojito rocked it too.

It has great seafood and environment. A good place to try some fresh oysters! Also the menu for vegetarian is really great. My friend who is vegetarian went this place three time during the 4 days in Anchorage.

We were able to walk the few blocks from our hotel to this excellent Asian fusion restaurant. We had a variety of appetizers, which were all delicious! I really enjoyed the pork tenderloin as my main course. Everyone else in my party loved their main courses also. It was a little noisy and the tables a little small, but the... More

If you are looking for a little variety, Ginger is a great place for some eastern fusion. The soup was a nice appetizer and the vegan curry was great. Desserts were okay but I would skip them next time. Their cocktail menu is extensive. There is something for everyone.

I was happy to find a place in Anchorage with vegan options. The dipping sauce on the spring rolls I ordered might be the best I've ever had. My tofu coconut curry was good, but very rich. The atmosphere was pleasant and our service was good.
