I was staying at the Inlet Towers hotel. After a long day I really didn't want to walk far or drive for some food, and I didn't feel like eating at the hotel restaurant. So out of desperation I walked to the City Market. I was amazed at what I found - great salad bar, a wonderful deli and food... More

We stopped in to New Sagaya's City Market while in Anchorage. They had great selections for the healthier choices I like to make while shopping. Grateful for the fresh made sourdough bread and delicious soups at the deli. Would definitely shop here again!!

I love that each sandwich at the deli is made fresh to order. But it's a little awkward ordering at one place, checking out at the register, then going back to the deli to pick up the sandwich. As a first timer, I didn't know what to do and they lady looked at me like I was stupid. But the... More

If you are looking for asian products, this would be the place to go. The downtown store does not have the same amount of products. They also have good selection of fresh salad that you can buy as to go or eat at the store.

This store has the best seafood department that I have ever seen. They have very fresh seafood from alll over the world. I loved their Halibut and especially their Ahi Poke--Spicey. Always ask for Anthony. He has wonderful customer service skills. I was sent to Anchorage AK for three months in 2013 and visited this store at lease twice a... More

This supermarket is opposite the above hotel so is great for guests. The meals that are available are fresh and ideal. The vegetable display is up to world standards.......I even took a photo! In general it was a surprise to find the business in the centre if a residential area. If staying more than overnight shopping in combination with the... More

I often visit Anchorage, traveling from Homer, Alaska. I almost ALWAYS plan to eat lunch at the main New Sagaya on the Old Seward Highway. Everything is fresh, made that day and many things are healthy. I often get a wrap or a wood-fired personal pizza. Fresh sushi is always available and excellent. I love to browse the seafood market... More

I don't quite understand how come New Sagaya's City Market is listed with no mention of their flagship store, the one in midtown. Maybe I'm wrong, perhaps the downtown one is larger but it sure doesn't look that way, midtown gets huge crowds. Today I stopped by New Sagaya's Midtown Market to pick up a couple seafood items and decided... More

This place has the best seafood department in all of Anchorage. I loved their Spicy Poke and fresh halibut fillets. They have fresh lobster and Dungess crabs. There staff is very friendly, especially Anthony. The store itself is a real education in international food. When you are in Anchorage this a can't miss.
