Good Choice for Dinner in Anchorage

We recently ate dinner at The Crow's Nest in Anchorage and had a delightful evening. We are in the wine business; so the quality of the wine list is always important to us. The list was extensive and interesting, and there was a good selection of wine by the glass. My husband choose the king... read more

They have grand food and great views. They bring you a fresh scallop appetizer before you even ordered. Try the fresh Alaskan king crab legs split down the middle, what a treat. Try to make a reservation on the northwest side so you can see Cooks Inlet, the mountains and the sun.

First, I had a wonderful meal. Appetizer of seared foie gras and it was great. Followed by the best rib eye steak ever. Now for my wife. She had oysters on the half shell. These were reused shells with oysters and god knows why, at melon sorbet on top. Her entrée was three medium sized scallops for $38. I could... More

Just had drinks here but there is no better place to see the views In Anchorage. Beers are $5.50 in a place where the entrees are $44.

I found this to be an excellent and rewarding dining experience. The view, service, food, beverage were all excellent. Must make reservations or you will be disappointed. Very popular place. Would go back again.

Got a Glimpse of Mt McKinley on our train trip back from Denali. A locale directed us to the Crows Nest. Very gracious staff hostess showed us to room to take photo of the big Moutain. We shared scallop dinner at the bar, very good!

Typically places that are known for the view have less than stellar food. This one is the exception. Food and service are devine. The menu features local seafood and produce. The preparation is impeccable. Service is professional, but not pretentious. Save room for the banana split.

We were a group of 15 and were in a room to ourselves with a wall of windows that looked out toward the mountains. I shared the rib eye and crab cakes appetizer both of which were wonderful. The service was excellent. We were there over two hours and the waiter never gave us the feeling we needed to hurry... More

On our last night in Alaska, we had reservations at The Crow's Nest Restaurant. Great food, great service, great views and the best dessert I have ever eaten...the Banana Split is to die for....nothing like you would expect....much, much, better!
