First of all the service here was impeccable. Everyone we encountered was refined yet friendly. The drinks and wine were first class, and the food was very good. The kitchen was kind enough to prepare me a Vegan meal which was not on the menu. And of course, the view was superb; both Chugach Mountains and Cook's Inlet. There was... More

We ate dinner here during our short stay at the Hotel Captain Cook. After a quick change in our hotel room (no flip flops, sneakers or shorts here!) we took the elevator up and enjoyed the scenic view from our table. The food was very good, service was excellent, and DH absolutely loved "the elk", telling everyone about it, including... More

I had heard that this was one of the best restaurants in town, but compared to others that I have been to it is just not up to par. The food was not horrible, but nothing to write home about. The view is fantastic. The service is some of the best, actually for Alaska it was little much in my... More

The service at the Crow’s Nest is never great or terrible—just average. I’ve been twice and walked in without reservations the first time (which they frown upon) and made a reservation the second time. The first time, I sat at the bar for dinner and a glass of wine. Food was pretty good, service was average. Bartender was distracted and... More

One of the best in Anchorage. Been going there for 30 yrs. they have a really good chef. Nice place for a date, or just friends going out to have an excellent meal.

My husband and I were up in Anchorage to watch the start of the Iditarod and the Race with the Reideer for Fur Rondy. We were staying downtown at the Hilton and walked over to check out the Captain Cook Hotel. While there, we went up to the Crow's Nest and had a drink at the Bar. The view, wine,... More

This is Alaskan fine dining at its best. My fiancee and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here to start a wonderful night out. The appetizers, entrees, and dessert were all top quality and tasted great. Looking out onto the nighttime city-scape of Anchorage was an extra treat. I would highly recommend The Crow's Nest if you're looking for a fancier-type... More

We stayed in the hotel which I also reviewed. Roof top dining is suppose to be all the about the view while the food is secondary but the Crow's Nest is an exception. The bar had the ambiance of a forgotten time without trying too hard to be old world. Our cocktails were properly prepared (stirred...not shaken) and we were... More

My birthday happened to fall during a visit to Alaska so we looked for a special place to celebrate. We heard from several local sources that the Crow's Nest was one of the very best in Anchorage. We were not disappointed! The appropriately-named restaurant is at the top (20th floor?) of the Captain Cook Hotel. It is beautifully decorated, the... More
