I would never pay that much for a seafood soup! It was way too thick, and had a serving of white rice plopped on top of it. I prefer brown rice, and soup much less thick. I took the leftovers home, added water to it, and it was more acceptable, this way.

My husband and I tried Sacks for date night, and we enjoyed it. They did have a great wine list and my only issue was we seemed to have to try to catch our waiter for things; refills on drinks, water, silverware etc. Our table was absolutely the tiniest table I've ever sat at, and there wasn't enough room for... This restaurant is a few blocks away from the very center of downtown, but definitely close enough for easy walking distance from the major hotels and convention centers. I would put this in the category of casual fine dining. The quality and presentation are right up there with the more popular fine dining establishments in Anchorage. The wine list is... More

The food is very good, and the atmosphere nice. While a little on the spend side, the prices aren't completely out of sight for what you get.

Had French Toast and the Thai Shrimp Salad. Both were delicious and we will try to get back for Dinner.

The food was great - we had the Salmon and the shrimp (with something - can't remember). Each of the dinners were about $5 - $8 over "normal" prices, but am tempted to go back because of the food quality, preparation and the friendly service. The place has limited capacity so would recommend making reservations.

Some of the best food you'll find in Anchorage, and moderately priced. Nice wine selection, and the deserts are always hard to pass up.

This is one of my go-to places to eat in Anchorage. They accommodate an intimate couples night, drinks with coworkers after work, or a large group. The food is consistently wonderful and the staff is attentive and graciously helpful with wine recommendations (for people like me who really like wine buy know very little about it).

The food is a bit pricey, but not for what you get! The food is excellent! The service is usually attentive and friendly (but sometimes makes the place feel a bit pretentious). We'll definitely go back!

Really delicious food and reasonably priced menu. I had a baked cod dish that was on the daily specials list, which was so light and fresh tasting. Awesome desserts, especially the lemon custard Good coffee too.
