Worth the money but make a reservation!

My dad and I ate here during the iditarod. We made a reservation which ended up being a good plan. Popular but small place. Great mussels. Good wine selection. Great salmon. Small bar, not much room to wait.

With a constantly changing, intriguing menu and their use of local produce and wild fish, this restaurant has been our favorite for over 20 years.

I've eaten here at least half a dozen times now. Each has been a very pleasant experience. The food is consistently good. Very tasty and reasonable portions. The chef will also suggest and prepare vegan options, should you so desire, with excellent results. The atmosphere is comfortable, not particularly crowded. It is a little pricey but worth it. Reservations are... More

We like to come here for Bunch. They have good, interesting items on there menu. The service is always excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing even though they are always busy.

This quiet little cafe was the perfect choice for a gathering of friends to reunite on Sunday morning. The atmosphere was comfortable and friendly, while still feeling upscale. The service was wonderful with just the right attentiveness- and the food was excellent! We had a wide variety- traditional eggs Benedict, scallop and crab cake Benedict, French toast, mexican scramble, pulled... More

My husband and I finally got a night out so we decided to try Sacks and I really wish we had not! While the plating of the food was definitely 4 star quality the taste of the food and the price earns a 2 star rating. $13 for 2 tiny crab cakes is ridiculous and our entrees lacked flavor, overall... I grew up in Anchorage but had never dined at Sack's until a return trip last summer. I was blown away by the food - very comparable to the best restaurants here in Chicago. Their flavor combinations are brilliant and the menu obviously has a lot of thought put into it. Service was also nice and the location is excellent.... More

I would never pay that much for a seafood soup! It was way too thick, and had a serving of white rice plopped on top of it. I prefer brown rice, and soup much less thick. I took the leftovers home, added water to it, and it was more acceptable, this way.

My husband and I tried Sacks for date night, and we enjoyed it. They did have a great wine list and my only issue was we seemed to have to try to catch our waiter for things; refills on drinks, water, silverware etc. Our table was absolutely the tiniest table I've ever sat at, and there wasn't enough room for...
