Fresh brewed ice tea, bread and oil, butternut squash soup....just to name a few things to start off with. The location is fun, nice to walk through art galleries and Alaskan shops nearby. Cozy atmosphere, welcoming servers and staff, very good service.

From the moment we stepped in to Sacks we were taken care of efficiently. Although busy our waitress Erin did a wonderful job, she was polite and always approached the table with a smile. We went with the Sockeye and Halibut and split our dishes. The combination of sides really complemented the fish and it brought a unique taste to... More

Stopped in for lunch and was a bit disappointed. I had crab cakes that were more like tuna patties at best. The onion and cilantro relish and a tasty salsa verde on the plate provided the flavor needed for each bite. From my soup to the dessert it was just not a wow for this diner.

Stopped in on the recommendation of Trip Advisor references. Lunch type diner, but way over that description in quality. Great food, attentive service. Had afternoon lunch - very tasty sandwiches and soup. High marks!

My wife and I recently had brunch here and highly recommend it. Both the food and the service were outstanding. Prices were pretty reasonable given the quality of the food. I hope to catch dinner here the next time I'm in Anchorage.

I have probably eaten here 100 times over the years and it is consistently good. The tomato soup is memorable as is the minty ice tea. I often get the specials but the main menu also has excellent items.

As we were staying at the Hilton, this was just around the corner. We reserved a table on both occasions as it does get busy. The menu was excellent, focused on local seafood which is cooked to perfection and well-presented. We can recommend the fresh oysters and the bacon and apple salad for starters, as well as the silver salmon... More

Restaurant recommended by our hotel. We were lucky to get a table. Food was excellent. We tried a dish with scallops which melted in your mouth. The caesar salad had a great flavor highly seasoned with garlic. My husband had the spice apple cake for dessert which is described as the best spice cake ever. Coffee was fresh and great... More

Asked the bell captain for dinner recommendation within walking distance of hotel, without hesitation he replied, If you like scallops, Sacks! He was right; scallops were great, apple and bacon salad was delicious, terrific house coffee and apple spice cake with caramel was best ever had. Huge wine list. Don't miss it.
