They are owned by the same folks who own my favorite restaurant, Glacier Brewhouse. Too bad they don't come close to the quality of food as GB. I will say the atmosphere is nicer and both have very good service. But the food just misses the mark. The first time I ate there in April 2013 on a romantic dinner... More

This very popular downtown restaurant offers a great bar menu, which is a good place to visit before a show at the Performing Arts Center, which is a short block away. The atmosphere is great, and each visit gets better, as the menu has a great variety of snacks, mostly Italian types. You can usually find a seat promptly, but... More

there is a good selection on the menu. Best deal is "Happy Hour" with different pupus and again a good selection. Gets pretty noisy.

I don't normally review local hometown establishments and ORSO's is already our favorite goto night and even lunch out... But, tonight's Valentine Special was perfection!! Everything from the sideboard bread spread to the incredibly fun and tasty sideboard appetizer- a lot of extra fun splashed in by all the staff that interacted with us, then into the unbelievable melt in... We had rockfish and it was delicious and the side dishes were unique and very tasty. My son had the salmon and it was excellent also. I don't usually like fish but that was great!

Orso is a good restaurant for those who have specific tastes or dietary requirements, such as vegetarians. And if you don't see something on the menu that fits your tastes, just ask and they will deliver! They made a special vegetarian macaroni and cheese that was delicious. A great combination of good food and superb service.

The service and food was very good. Portions were generous and delicious. We had been there a few times before and felt the menu was much more limited than previous visits. Prices were on the higher side-but expected for this locale and ambience. Service was superb.

For those of you who haven't been to Anchorage during tourist season be aware that restaurants are very busy. Food and service were very good. They did a very nice job of recognizing a birthday of one of our guests. Can accommodate gluten free choices.
