We went there for cocktails and ended up having a great dinner too! The staff was super nice and their happy hour is a fairly good deal.

Our last evening in Anchorage before heading to the airport we stopped in for supper for four. I have to agree with 'RickyMom' the bread was the best thing, not on the menu. Served hot with fresh butter it was great. The calimari were very tender and fresh - delicious. We also loved the halibut and boiled potatoes. I had... More

We flew into Anchorage the night before a Princess Cruise. We asked at the hotel desk if there was a good place for Alaskan Seafood and he recommended ORSO. A short walk from the Marriott and we were greeted by a great staff that took excellent care to make sure we were welcome. I always appreciate when a chef knows... More

Met friends at Orso for Lunch. The atmosphere was charming and clean. Excellent service, glass of wine with a great salad. I would return.

Told there was an hour wait, but we could sit in the bar. Waitress offered full dinner menu and it was great. Non-alcoholic mojito was tasty with mint, and salad with steak delicious. Got to chat with nearby men from air base there on a break. I'd go back!

Be sure to order the bread even though it is perhaps $4 extra. Well worth it! We had a lovely meal here the last night of our vacation. Nice quiet restaurant although it is very popular. The Mediterranean items were much appreciated by us!

Four of us recently ate at this restaurant. We had arrived on the train from Denali and many of the city's restaurants were packed. Orso was one of the few places we could get seated and this was in the bar area. The service was incredibly slow. We ordered drinks which took so long to get that the manager comped... More

I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant because they had a dedicated gluten free menu, but was disappointed in the overall experience. The service was really slow, we waited over 40 minutes for them to bring out our food and the waiter stopped coming in to check on us after the first 15 minutes. When the food... More

Business dinner for two, fairly slow service. Special dietary needs difficult to convey to server, who asked several times and then brought something they had been told was a problem. Just felt attention to detail was lacking for the price and the wait! Rave reviews are a two edged sword, felt this was good but not the level of great... More

We visit Alaska frequently. We were looking for a different place to eat. What a great find. We ordered the rockfish and black cod. It was amazing. We have eaten black cod in Vegas, Vancouver and Seattle at top restaurants. This is the best we have ever eaten. Both fish were moist and perfectly prepared. The wait staff were friendly... More
