Fun, good variety

An Anchorage classic, can get pretty crowded but they have a good selection of food and drink, from comfort to healthy, and prices are OK. Warm atmosphere.

While vacationing in Alaska, we were guided to the Glacier Brewhouse by some of the locals. I am a big fan of Alaskan King Crab, and was very pleased at how much better these were at this restaurant. This food item, I chalked up to being closer to the source and therefore fresher. I was not looking for a heavy... More

This was recommended by the locals. We went at 1130 and it was packed and got busier for the lunch crowd. Food was good. Service a bit slow but they were very busy. We were looking for something with a bit more charm and character so would make other choices another time. As with other establishments we found most personnel... More

Great Beers, fun and tasty appetizers ( cheese fondue and smoked salmon appy's were great) and lots of different choices for everyone in the group. We walked in at 9:00 at night for dinner and it was packed. Salads, ribs, everything we had was great - nice casual dinner out in Anchorage.

After being dropped off at the downtown welcome center, we walked a block or so to the Glacier Brewhouse for lunch. It's a popular spot and appeared quite busy with both locals and tourists. We tried a couple of the in house brews, which were both quite good. My party all ordered the salmon club sandwiches. We expected the sandwich... More

Alaska residents and enjoy GBH. Like microbrewery beer. One of our favorites is the seared Ahi. Calamari we vote as the best we have ever ordered.

We ate here a couple of times during our three day stay in Anchorage. My favorite was the herb crusted halibut with garlic mashed potatoes. Yummy!

A bit pricey, great food but small portions. Also felt out of place in jeans. Most people were dressed in slacks or dress pants.

The downtown Anchorage Brew House is one of my local favorite place to eat with friends. They have an excellent menu and great beer that they brew. It is best to call for a reservation since it is a very popular place. Www.opentable.com is a good reservation method. Street parking is tough to get, so plan on using a parking... More
