We took a group of hungry teenagers out to the Wishbone for some LUCK before an academic competition. The service was fast. They were in love with the great shakes (one said it was the best one she had ever had), burgers and perfectly fried chicken. Our waitress was helpful, efficient and patient with our crew. We were delighted in... More

Everything I've had has been excellent, however I've been told the fried chicken is the best in Alaska and I don't doubt that at all. Burgers, desserts have all been great fare. They have a drive thru which is a little unexpected and prepare yourself to step into a time machine back a few decades but I'd say it's definitely... More

Let me start by saying I LOVE this place. We have been going there since our kids were born and now take our grandson. They treat us like family and always find a space big enough to accommodate us. The food is consistent and the biggest question for me is always-shall I have a burger or shall I have chicken?... More

Don't waste your money and taste buds on McDonalds and Burger King. They can't even really be compared with Lucky Wishbone, which makes some of the best burgers and fries ANYWHERE. Sixties/70's-era diner decor is not retro but genuine from that time.

The Lucky Wishbone is simply called { THE BONE } by the locals who frequent the place. In the old days it was one of the first places that guys and gals from the nearby Air Force base would stop for home style cooking. It has also been the local police patrol lunch and dinner spot for the last 40... More

This place is a throwback. An old-fashioned diner experience with lots of photos, etc. on the walls. It's a comfortable place with young, energetic, and friendly waitstaff. It's locally known for its burgers, shakes/malts, and especially for its pan fried chicken. I had the chicken and fries, both cooked to perfection. The fries are the shoestring type - ok but... More

Burgers, fried chicken, Milkshakes, Malts, etc. I've been going in there for around 50 years now and visited it again a couple of days ago when I was in Anchorage - it hasn't changed a bit!

Delicious, amazing, yummy fried chicken!!! Great atmosphere, and the chicken is seriously wow! My father-in-law took us there for the first time last year, and just last week he brought some to-go back to Cordova for us. Come hungry, and leave happy! Kind of has a diner vibe, and is usually packed. You may have a wait, but believe me,... More

An Anchorage institution and must try. The fried chicken is made to order and flown in daily. The hamburgers are awesome, the simplicity of it and fresh bun make this a favorite. Everything is good, but if it's your first time try the chicken and/or burgers. The biscuits and honey are also delicious. My mouth is watering just writing this.... More

I travel to Anchorage on business about once a year or more. My coworkers took me here on my first visit over a decade ago, and I make it a point to go back on every trip. The place is a throw back from the 50s or 60s. Very diner style, which is fine by me. The place gets packed,... More
