My family went here alot when I was a teenager, craved the Burgers when I was pregnant. It was so nice to see that the food had not changed in all these years. I haven't been back to Aladka in 11 years. Got off the plane and headed straight for a Burger and Peanut Butter shake. Sat eith my honey... More

I never miss the chance to have lunch at the Wishbone when visiting Anchorage. Their fried chicken is undoubtedly the best I've ever experienced. Perfectly cooked every time, crusty tasty skin and juicy inside. Highly recommend this Anchorage classic

I have been enjoying George and Peggy Brown's burgers and fries since the first year they opened. My sweetheart and I were there this past week having the jumbo cheeseburger for me and the mom's chicken for my lady. Both were just as we've remembered them! The quality of the burgers and the chicken were tops! There are always lots... More

Wow is right! A great place for fried chicken and onion rings. Prices are a little high but they ship the chickens in from Washington. The service was very good. Don't let a long line discourage you because it moves fairly fast.

This restaurant located close to downtown off the Glenn Highway is an old time family Resturant. It serves down home cooking with fabulous strawberry short cake or brownie desserts. It is not famous but the burgers are good and you have hometown options. For the visitors who want to see pictures daring back before statehood, memorable from famous visitors and... More

This diner hasn't changed much in it's 50 years. The walls are lined with photos of pilots and planes who shouldn't be forgotten and the place is filled with bustle and noise from staff and patrons. The food is just what you expect from a diner, but very good. My chowder was unbelievable, rich and creamy. Probably a thousand calories... More

Been here quite a few times. The wrapping isn't pretty but the food is tasty and substantial. The famous chicken place has more bread than chicken and this has more chicken than breading

Our AirBnB hosts recommended this place to us our first night in Anchorage. We were hungry and exhausted and wanted something quick and filling. Would likely not have looked twice at this place had it not been recommended. Great chicken and cornbread and the shakes/malts are wonderful too. Left fully satisfied.

Fresh, never frozen, chicken fried absolutely perfectly - which is not any easy thing for a restaurant to do. If the oil is not the right temperature and recently filtered you get the greasy mess most places serve. Not here. If you've never had proper fried chicken you owe it to yourself to try the Wishbone. The grilled sandwiches are... More
