Good food, a little on the spendy side for lunch, but the waitstaff was friendly and the Cuban sandwich was pretty amazing. I'll be back!
This was my second visit in a week. Excellent service by Kerry withe great wine suggestion. I ordered the filet special medium, unfortunately this visit it was overcooked and dry. My wife ordered the oysters which were from Halibut Cove, superb, and the clams, also fresh and delicious.
Long time customer of the Bistro. Great food, decent wine list, great service, all in a relaxed atmosphere make the Southside Bistro a place one much visit when in Anchorage.
I went for a solo lunch on a special day. I am a thirty-something woman who was wearing business attire. The restaurant was not full, as it was a later lunch. I first was sat by the host, whom I presumed to be the owner. He sat me at the absolute worst table. It was teensy with no view and... More
The food was amazing and so fresh, I love the different seafood specials each day. The menu was very creative, and the wine list is very extensive. I loved the service and atmosphere as well and the owner was cooking in their open kitchen. You will not be disappoited.
Wow- I went here last week with my boyfriend after some friends recommended it, and it was definitely a pleasant surprise. I only wish we had come here sooner. The ambiance, service, food, and prices are all top notch. My mom and I recently ate dinner here for a belated birthday celebration. We shared the eggplant and scallop appetizers, a pear salad, and then a peach cobbler and creme brûlée for dessert. Absolutely scrumptious, satisfying, worth every cent. Can't wait to return!
This is one of our two favorite Anchorage restaurants. Always good service, great staff, and wonderful meals. This is a very popular spot, so I'd suggest reservations. You won't be disappointed.
We ate two early dinners at Southside bistro and we chose to sit in the bar area. The restaurant and Caesar salad had been recommended by a long time Anchorage resident. The restaurant and the Caesar were first rate. The hamburgers and pasta were excellent as well. Happy hour prices are very reasonable. We will return upon our next visit... More
