I am quite a picky eater and I loved this place. We sat on the bistro- less formal site and got baked nachos for an appetizer, a burger, and two desserts- banana caramel and a special blueberry cobbler. Everything tasted great and the dessert presentation was beautiful. The bistro is also very reasonably priced. It can be a little tricky... More

I got the scallops as an ap and the lamb as a main dessert was a peach/rasp cobbler. Can you say awesome? I liked every single item I ordered - I was in a party of 6 and it seemed that we were all very happy. Since I have almost nothing negative to say, if I had to be critical... More

We had eaten at the Southside Bistro several times last summer and headed to the Southside Bistro on our trip to Anchorage this year. We always choose to sit in the bar and order from the bar menu. The Caesar salad was excellent,as before, and the seafood chowder was full of fresh seafood and with a buttery/creamy broth. The hamburgers... More

I visit several times a year. It's wife's all time favorite place to dine in anchorage. Menu and service is consistently top notch. Better have a reservation! Very popular place year round.

The owners of the B N B I was staying at recommended this and reserved me a table. At 7pm it was really busy and there was a queue for tables. I had a great table, the server Tom, was really helpful. I enjoyed two pints of local ale, very good. The menu is massive, but in the end I... More

This is the best restaurant in the south area of Anchorage. We ended up there three times. Not a lot of choices on the lunch menu, but everything we had was great. Pasta, hamburgers, salads. Don't skip dessert, especially the Dark Chocolate Terrine (to die for). Only complaint was the 4 thin pear slices on the otherwise good 'pear' salad.... More

This is a bistro so there is both gourmet and standard dishes available. Kids can have pizza while Mom and Dad dine on great seafood and meat. The salads were fresh and crisp. The soups were hot, tasty, and full of meat or seafood. The King Salmon and halibut were cooked perfectly. The deserts were yummy. All the food was... More

Nice menu and the food lived up to expectations. The place was crowded and service was a bit slow but acceptable. I'd go back.

The salmon dinner was to die for. Fresh and very, very tasty. Great waiter to guide us with our choice. The chocolate dessert with pistachios to die for.

Good food, a little on the spendy side for lunch, but the waitstaff was friendly and the Cuban sandwich was pretty amazing. I'll be back!
