Apparently you pay for the view, because the wait staff wasn't that attentive and the food was not properly cooked. Had king salmon (which was dry) and king crab (didn't seem fresh). more

I went here based on other reviews. I think it probably is one of the nicest views in Anchorage, on the Inlet. Nice atmosphere and I didn't think it was noisy. In July 2008, we ate at in the saloon portion of this restaurant. They had a large selection of seafood entrees. We had the ahi tuna, blackened rock fish, macadamia & crab stuffed halibut, halibut cheeks, king salmon, and sea scallop entrees. Everyone really liked the flavors of their food. I like to come here for special occasions. Mostly because of the price. However, the atmosphere and everything about it goes downhill when others wear jeans. I know it's Alaska, but come on. more

Bear in mind that this is also one of the noisiest restaurants in town. Locals (like me) tend not to go there so often due to that, plus the fact that there are now several other restaurants in Anchorage that are at least as good -if not better- and quieter/more intimate.
