You Must Go Here For Breakfast!

We were sitting in the lobby of our hotel, The Captain Cook, when we overheard some men saying they were just returning from having had breakfast here. Found out where it was & made the short walk here from the hotel. We walked in & instantly knew this was the place to be. Did have a bit of a... read more

The line to sit down at a table begins before opening. The friendly staff welcomes you inside to have a cup of coffee and get you out of the weather (a concept that should be embraced by more restaurants in extreme climates). The food is fresh. The portions are large and the flavor savory. There is a hot sauce bar... More

One of the best breakfast's we have had in a long time. The food was outstanding, although it gets very crowded. We found a spot at the counter, so avoided the wait. Service was good, but everyone was quite busy as the computers were down and things were done by hand. Overall, I would strongly suggest a meal here. Just... More

We arrived at "Snow City Cafe" just as they opened their doors for the day so we did not have to wait long to be seated. My husband and I both ordered the "Tundra Scramble (three eggs, reindeer sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, red onion and cheddar)" which came with the best hash browns I have ever eaten and a slice... As a solo traveler, I was able to grab a counter stool and bypass the almost 30-40 minute wait that others there were sitting through to get a table. I have to admit, for all the crowds I saw day after day and the lengthy wait for a table, I was hoping for a dish that would really wow me.... More

We eat here often. Breakfast/brunch/lunch. The food is always excellent and the daily specials offer fun new choices so the menu is never boring. It's always busy so I recommend making a reservation but they reserve a number of tables for walk in traffic and you can always sit at the counter if spaces open up. Great staff, great food,... The espresso is deep and delicious. And, the menu has a broad range for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I found the atmosphere hip and the service was just excellent. The yogurt and granola was fresh and hearty, omelettes were tailor made, and the tomato soup topped with a splash of cream made a nice presentation. So, together it was... More

Had the chance to visit with locals and it did not disappoint. Love the touch in the front area where you can grab your own coffee while you wait! We were seated within 10 minutes and then the scrumptious began. My wife had 1 (half order) pancake that was at least plate size (thanks to waiter for recommending only 1),... More

With a line out the door I was pulled into it by the fresh jam jars on the tables. An hour an a half wait, we put our names in and angled for a spot at the counter, hedging our bets. After nearly an hour a couple opened up. My husband ordered the.pink crab cakes Benedict and I ordered a... More
