Excellent service for average entrees

We stopped by for a late lunch, of hot sandwiches with fries and found the wait staff quick to tend to us in a friendly and professional manner, seating us in a booth and ready to take our order. When traveling it's sometimes satisfying to have a meal at a restaurant where you know your expectations will be met and so on our way home from our Alaska Road Trip we stopped at Outback for a bite to eat. We both ordered steak and it was prepared as we expected it and we were happy with that. We usually... More

Arrived in Anchorage in August. Decided to play it safe and was not disappointed. Their shrimp appetizer (have it served on their brown bread) was wonderful....but favorite was the potatoe soup and chopped salad. This is not an updated restaurant but cozy never the less.

Had not had a steak in over a year. So we flew to AK to surprise them and took our newly married son and daughter-in-law to Outback. Had blooming onion, it was awesome. Son order the filet mignon. I ordered ribeye with bone in, daughter-in-law the sirloin. Filet smelled strange over cooked, out of ribeye, boneless substituted. Over cooked, it... More

We ate at Outback because we needed to kill time in anchorage while my son had practice. We chose Outback because of the steaks and gluten free menu. My husband has celiac so he has to eat GF or he will get very sick. Unfortunately, he was glutened after ordering a wedge salad and bone in ribeye off of the... More

I've not eaten at this chain more than twice, but this experience was very good. My biggest problem with steakhouses is that they overcook your steak, but this time both entrees came out perfectly done. My boyfriend ordered the bone-in rib-eye cooked medium well and it came out with just a touch of pink. I ordered the New Zealand lamb... More

We ate dinner here late last winter. About six family members. Wait staff was high on something. Server spilled drinks on us. Took our order then asked for our orders 4 times after the original placed order. Hardly anyone else in the restaurant, so no excuses, AND we were being super cool about it since half of us have worked... More

Typical of this chain - good food and good service. Conveniently located on a main street close to my hotel.

When we are in doubt where to eat when visiting USA, Outback is always safe. The steak with blue cheese crust, blooming onion and baby back ribs are my favourites. The Outback in Anchorage no exception. Great service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices.
