WOW, and wow

Great bread, excellant service. Ask for a sample and they hand you a huge chunk of bread and ask if you want butter or honey to put on it. Love it.

I came in the late afternoon for a sandwich to take home and discovered they only have service at lunchtime. Not sure why they can't make a sandwich they had people to make the sandwich and all of the ingredients...

I visited this bakery in my hometown, on the recommendation to try the cinnamon chip. I fell in love! Nice, bustling clientele, lovely baking smells inside the store, a VERY cheap cup of drip for the wait ($1), and energetic staff add up to a delightful visit. I love stopping by the store for a treat of specialty bread.

I love Great Harvest. There was one in MT where I lived and we always get the cinnamon swirl bread. Its like a cinnamon roll without the icing. Take a loaf or two of that home and use it to make french toast. Absolute heaven! The best french toast you will ever have! We also have tried many of their... More

We love to stop by Harvest bread to sample their wide variety of interesting breads and to take our favorites home with us. We have never had a disappointing sample or loaf. Friendly, helpful staff. My son and I have a personal favorite: the Jalapeno Jack Cornbread.

There are lots of bakeries around, but this Great Harvest is something special. Perhaps, because of the owners, it has become a local meeting place, and the venu has expanded to accommodate the large following. When you enter, you get that warm, happy feeling, and you want to stay for an unhurried visit.

The bread is good, but the overall atmosphere is dull. The payment/pickup process is odd and a bit confusing as you have to fill out a menu sheet and then go and order and basically repeat what you ordered. Could use some improvement... Overall it was good food and worth a stop if you like bread.

A loaf of bread will run you close to $8.00 but the bread is delicious and the owners are the nicest people. Sandwiches are made to order with good quality ingredients; prices steep there too but you'd never know it from the lunchtime lines. Stop by for a free slice and you'll agree that this place bakes the best bread... More

Ordered the veggie sandwich on multigrain, wow it was outstanding! There was a brisk business when I was there for lunch and they had it staffed for high customer service! The free sample of raisin white chocolate bread they offered was a nice finish to my lunch.

When ever I get to Anchorage I have to eat here. The sandwiches are excellent as of course they come on the most yummy of breads. It's super close to the Embassy hotel making it an even better choice for lunch as I can walk over!!
