The first day we stopped we just picked up cookies and garlic cheese bread. All yummy! The second time we stopped was for sandwiches. Big sandwiches, very filling. I had the chipotle turkey. It wasn't very spicy; I was hoping for a bigger 'hit', but very flavorful nonetheless. Busy place, but ample seating for a Monday lunch time.

Food is great & the service can't be beat. I love going to GHB because everyone's always so happy. I could live off of the samples, but mostly it's a monthly trip here to bring morning snacks to work.

I love this place. They donate all over town, have excellent service, make sandwiches, also have gourmet coffee and a cute art scene. Without being pretentious! I recommend any of the sweet breads or the scones, and the Chugach Rustic.

This bread shop not only gives samples--they are large enough to make a small sandwich! They have confidence that when you taste their various breads you will make a purchase, and we always do. Pricey breads, for special occasions and for the discriminating palate.

Huge breakfast sandwiches you can easily share, friendly staff. We asked them to put a little less butter on the next day, it was much better. Would definitely go again.

This location offers a variety of breads and baked items for sale. It also, has a deli type order setup for generous sandwiches served on the fresh baked bread. Their cinnamon rolls are to die,for as are their tasty cookies. bread is out of the world and they even offer very generous taster type slices before you buy.

This place makes great breads of all kinds and let's you taste them before you purchase. I get bread from great harvest in Austin Texas all the time so it was refreshing to see a new place here in anchorage. They also make sandwiches here unlike Austin. The sandwiches were very good although I would have like my bread toasted.... More
