We've driven by The White Spot Cafe many times, but we've never managed to stop while they're open. Today we stopped in for lunch, and I can say that we'll be back again soon! The menu is small and so is the restaurant, but don't let that fool you. The items they do offer is excellent. We watched our food... More

The White Spot is a diner owned and run by a professionally-trained chef who just wanted to get out of the corporate world cook real food. I lived down the street for 2 years and this was my "go to " spot when I needed a solid breakfast. However, if you are a hipster, vegetarian or Californian, your delicate sensibilities... More

My friend and I had lunch there on a rainy August Sunday. It's usually very crowded, but due to the weather there were few there. We had a fabulous halibut sandwich. I would recommend this to any traveler.

I stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of someone I’d met on the flight up to Anchorage. I mentioned wanting some good, fresh fish and chips, and she said not to miss The White Spot. I often hear people talk about how the best food is at a local hole-in-the-wall, and The White Spot certainly validates that. I ordered... More

Old time Anchorage tiny diner. Funky decor. Cook takes your order and turns out a good meal. Waitress makes sure your coffee is full.

Asked a local where to get a good breakfast without breaking the bank. She enthusiastically recommended White Spot. It's a tiny store-front place, with only 4 tables and some barstools. We were lucky to get a table on a Friday morning. By the time we left, the place was full. There was one employee, the cook, there for the entire... More

There isn't anything on this fine little menu to complain about. Service is personal and warm...right at home in Chef's kitchen!

Love the halibut sandwich at The White Spot - I've seen the halibut being cut fresh, yum! I've been told the burgers are good too but I always stick with my fav. It's a small spot so if you can, go for a late or early lunch to avoid the rush. Service is always nice and the food is consistent.
