Loved our lunch so much upon our arrival in Anchorage, we went back a week later for Saturday lunch before heading to the airport. It was closed for lunch on the weekends! So disappointed. Tibetan buns with fried pork, lamb curry, and a delicious lentil dish with naan. And a full house of locals!

First let me say that the service here is fantastic. Friendly, quick, and attentive. The food, however, left something to be desired. I eat Indian food quite often, and I ordered a fairly standard item. While it was not bad, it certainly did not taste like what I was used to. The garlic nan bread was also a bit strange...I'm... Is how painfully full my belly feels right now. Impossible to stop eating this incredible food. We had samosas (average), vegetarian soup (amazing), mutter paneer (amazing part deux), and goat curry (awesome according to my meat-eating hubby). Chai was a great finishing touch. Atmosphere was cute in that hole-in-the-wall sort of way. Go here!!

We ordered dinner to go from this restaurant and it was tasty even after it got a bit cold! The food was yummy! Helped us on the way! I'm sure it would have been tastier had we dined in!

My husband and I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. As always, the reviews made our decision to dine here worth while. There is absolutely no atmosphere, but that didn't matter because we went for the food. Enjoy!

The service was great and the food came out very quickly. We had a little time to kill before our flight, so it was a perfect way to kill time and make it to the airport on time. It was a nice change from the other restaurants in Anchorage. Our food was good, not the best Himalayan food that I've... More

We went to this restaurant multiple times on our recent alaska vacation. We are vegetarians and had the combo plate of dal bhat with veg kofta and palak panner with naan. The food was very close to home cooking and it was soo tasty. After having two meals we were looking forward to having our final dinner at anchorage at... More

If you are in Anchorage and have not eaten here, you are doing yourself a disservice. The staff and owners are fast, efficient, friendly, and amazing. The Indian-Himalayan food is delicious, wonderful, and most importantly, authentic. The Yak and the Yeti present a great dining experience off of Spenard. Have a meal and let the food speak for itself.

Returning from a climbing expedition in Alaska, I and my Indian friends were looking for a place to eat Indian food when we found this place. The restaurant has an authentic Nepali / Indian kitchen. We ordered a huge spread of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and naan and rice and everything was super delicious. This is the best place... More
