It's ALL that, and a bag of oyster crackers!

This is one of those few places that unequivocally lives up to every last bit of hype. Yes, it truly is the BEST clam chowder you've ever tasted. A taste of Seattle for visiting friends, always warm and satisfying. No matter what chowder I choose, they have all been delicious! Highly recommend!

We had their "award winning" New England Clam Chowder, the Chicken Corn Chowder, and the Crab Roll. Being from the northeast, I was dubious... The New England was very good - not as flavorful as I've had in New York, Connecticut or Massachusetts though. The Corn chowder was excellent! The Crab Roll was good, but too much bread:filling ratio though.... More

The line wrapped around the corner. It only took about 15-20 minutes to get to the front. The captains roll was ok, kind of plain. But the chowder was the best I have ever had! I would go back in a second!

We visited the restaurant during a recent trip to Seattle. When we got there around 11:30am, there was a long line outside of the restaurant (which opened at 11am). We had clam chowder and salmon chowder. They were simply fresh and delicious!!!

On a food tour in Seattle (Pike Place food tour) and this restaurant was on the tour, good chowder. It is worth a visit.

After reading the fabulous reviews, I had to try this place as soon as I got to town. The breadbowl was stale, the seafood bisque was sub-par, and the prices were sky high. I don't get the fascination, and I definitely wouldn't be back. The one saving grace. The people behind the counter were nice.

I could not decide on one type of chowder so I tried the trio chowder dish where I got to have 3 different types of chowder and fantastic sour dough bread. The line is long to get in but it is totally worth the wait.

The hyp brought us here and we weren't disappointed in the chowder but really, the place is nothing special and the line is long. We were lucky to get a table.
