We had New England clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl from the Post Alley location. It was SO good. We have had really good chowder in San Francisco and Boston, but I think this one topped them. I will definitely pay them a visit anytime I am in Seattle.

This chowder is worth the wait. We really enjoyed the fresh sour dough bread bowl, but there wasn't quite enough chowder for my liking. I might go for the large bowl next time...would prefer to have a sour dough roll on the side, as they are a great complement. The downside of this restaurant is when lines are long, it... More

We dropped in here today for some chowder. It was delightful. We had a 7-10 minute wait in the sunshine. Not a problem. We got the New England and the smoked salmon chowders. Both delicious. Full of chunks of seafood and veggies. Also got a crab roll, which I found disappointing. I guess I should have stuck with what that... More

Creamiest and packed full of clams! We love chowder and consider us discriminating when it comes to a bowl of the stuff! This was the best!

We actually went twice on our trip - once to try out a few of the chowders and another time to try the Dungeness Crab Roll and Salmon Roll (sandwiches). Must say - well worth any wait! We tried the New England Chowder and the Seafood Bisque and really enjoyed both. The atmosphere was great, service was good, and the... More

We decided to try all of the chowders by purchasing two of their samplers, which give you four five-ounce cups. All were good, although some were very good. We particularly enjoyed the New England, the seared scallop and the Southwestern styles. Good bread, too.

As one of my favorite dishes, I will always try to find good Clam Chowder places in almost every coastal cities I visit. Among them, Pike Place Chowder brings me the most delight. I went on a Friday afternoon for late lunch, there was a 10-min wait. Ordered New England Clam Chowder, Smoked Salmon Chowder and Seafood Bisque. The traditional... More

I enjoyed the clam chowder.....had lots of clams. The lines are never ending. If you think you will have shorter lines by going later...........probably not! I got there at 2:30 PM and they were out of sandwiches and salads. The only thing they had was the clam chowder. They have a counter and tables and chairs outdoors, but it can... More
