I'm a chowder fiend -- fiend I say! I like them in all varieties but Boston Clam is my favorite. Well, they do that exceptionally well here. It's a very small place -- and semi-fast food (well, ok -- it's pretty damn fast food) but the chowder (and sourdough bread) really is good. You can also get refills on bread,... More

Our tour guide Jake recommended this place for chowder and it was a great choice for lunch. The line was a bit long, but I hear it can be a lot worse. It was worth the wait. It may be a bit pricey, but if the food is great, you can overlook that. We just went with simple New England... More

I have been there before and had a great chowder and this time they did it again. Good variety, awesome chowders. The best I have had in the Northwest. It's worth the drive and parking hassle and afterwards you can have a pleasant stroll through the market. Hope I get to go back to Seattle next year, so I can... More

Tried the chowder on a tasting tour. Just delicious. The line was totally insane so I am so glad I did not have to wait in that. But I got a brochure so I can have that Seattle deliciousness shipped to me!!

Stumbled into this place by accident while walking around Pike Place Market. There was a long line so we thought it was the place to go. No doubt the clam chowder and crab sandwich were good and even better than the one we tried at San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf. It was a sunny day and a nice day to eat... More

Super solid place with delicious food. This is for the Post Alley location. Very busy pace but the staff is very laid back and patient to help. The chowder is excellent. We elected to have a slice or two of the bread on the side. When dipped into the chowder is was to die for! Yumsers! They also have a... More

This was by far the best meal we had our whole trip. We got the sampler so we could taste 4 different chowders they were all great could not peak just one. Worth the wait in the line.

I can't rave about this chowder enough! I visited three times during my fortnight in Seattle, my favourite being the New England chowder.

This place has the best ever clam chowder. Yesterday we also tried their seafood bisque and it was very delicious as well. Large chunks of crab and salmon and other seafood. The bread they serve is bakery fresh. Plan to stand in line, though, as it is a tiny restaurant but well worth the wait.

Upon arriving in Seattle, this was the first place we decided to eat. We were tempted by the sampler which allowed 4 different chowders, but decided this round we'd have the basic New England Clam Chowder. It was delicious. My husband also had the crab roll and it was great also. We vowed to come back, but never had a... More
