Good Cajun

Walking around the Pike Market for a good meal. Came across this little place and gave it a try. We are from the South so we were not sure about Cajun food in the Great NorthWest. But, this was good cooking, we had the red beans and rice, the chicken and sausage gumbo (the sausage really had a... read more

family stopped for breakfast. this place has a new orleans feel. small, and tight. the owner is a gentleman of the first order. my gumbo was perfect. my wife, and son loved their choices. everyone in the restaurant seemed quite pleased with their meals as the owner constantly made his way around the restaurant interacting with his customers. loved it!

I just saw another review titled NOT CAJUN, they are correct. Don't fall for that they actually have tables open unlike other restaurants around them, THERE IS A REASON. The locals know DON'T EAT HERE. Dirty atmosphere and limited menu that isn't Cajun or French like the sign says. Lady cooking was so disorganized and slow I had to stop... More

If you've ever eaten and love New Orleans food, don't waste your time here. Sausage in jambayala, not andouille. Have no idea what it was. Poor roux. Wife had frozen fish patty for fish and chips. Save the calories and keep walking.

Great service, good people watching and delicious food :-) the serving sizes were not too large. It is very clean and really laid back atmosphere.

This isn't Cajun food at all. My friend ordered a "Cajun Burger" and all she got was a burnt patty with old lettuce, tomato, and onion and stale bread. There penne Marina was just tomato sauce and cooked noodles. The place is over priced for the bad quality of food that they serve.

We stopped by here the last time we were in Seattle (about 3 years ago) and should have written a review then. Well you should really stop here. It is walking from Pike's market. It is super reasonable and very good. Now I gave it 5 stars based on a diner type place. It is not fancy. We got Gumbo,... More

This was a nice break from shopping near Pike's Place Market. I ordered the Combo #1 - red beans & rice and a salad. This came with a corn muffin which calmed down the spicy beans. The bowl of beans was a good size and I will stop here again if I make it back to Seattle. The owner was... More

Like another reviewer I struggle to see how this place has got some of the reviews posted here. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food on a recent visit. All three of us left with the same opinion and we all had different meals. We will not be going back.

My husband and I were walking around in the Pike area of Seattle and stumbled on this place. After browsing the menu we decided to give it a try. We sat at an outside table because it was a very nice day. I had a vegetarian jambalaya and he had jambalaya with sausage, etc. We had a side of fried... More
