A gem of a find in Seattle

Joule is located in a somewhat quiet area of Seattle, just outside the University district. You walk in and you're not sure which way to go-to the right is a restaurant that has a bit of a New England feel, and to the left is Joule which has a more stylish vibe going on. Go left. I love Joule. The food is great, wonderful ambiance, staff are efficient. Very creative dishes. Love the fusion concept. Nice selection of wines, too.

I am usually put off by anything with "fusion" in the description, but I am glad that I trusted the reviews and went here anyway! My husband and I stopped in for a nice dinner during our last trip to Seattle and were quite pleased. The layout is perfect for warm summer nights with plenty of windows and a cozy... More

Rainy night in the city and don't feel like schlepping to Whole Foods for, let's face it, another prepared meal and a little overindulgence at the dessert counter? Head to Joule! Even though reservations are a good idea, there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting cozy on the covered patio near the fire pit, complete with a wool blanket draped... More

All restaurants should consider serving meals in the manner of Joule...ordering one (or more each) entrée, side, and dessert served family style and shared. My husband and I like smaller portions and ordering one of each category and sharing them when served family style makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. No more asking for a second plate or... More

We have eaten here before and thought it much better than this time - could have just been an off-night; or our choices. Our server was great, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the poppyseed noodles, which were very heavy and overshadowed the accompanying flavors. The shrimp cocktail was very good, ($11) the smoked tofu a nice presentation with little cubes... More

A friend from work recommended Joule's so my wife and I decided to give it a shot on our regularly scheduled "date night". Upon walking into the place I knew I was going to love it. The open concept allows the guest to watch as food is prepared. We were seated at the cooking bar, which was what we prefer.... More

We had a party of 17 going there after Seahawks / Niners game and our host pre-ordered the menu. The delivery, taste and service were fantastic. My favorites were the appetizers and the grilled octopus. I have searched world wide for octopus dishes and this was one of the top 5% of my findings. Moist, tasting and not soggy. Definitely... We ate "other than steak" and found interesting combinations, visually exciting and rewarding in taste. We came when they opened for dinner and were able to get a table without a reservation, but I'd advise a reservation at any other time. Next time I'm in Seattle I'd definitely return here.

We decided to visit Joule on a really wet day and sat in the bar. We live near enough to have walked and were soaking wet when we crawled up onto the bar stools. The fire outside made it feel cozy just to see. We sampled a variety of things and shared. Everything was amazing and beautiful! We had steak... More
