A wonderful evening at Jould

I had my first trip to Seattle and visited Joule with friends for dinner. Joule was very crowded but we had reservations and were immediately seated, I would recommend reservations if you try Joule. I went here with some friends while in Seattle, and I loved it. The restaurant had a great setting and vibe, near Lake Union. Open kitchen. Great local wines. We were three people and shared 6 dishes, all with the help of our waitress. Loved the octopus and the rice cakes - both unique and delicious. Standouts. Everything was good... More

We went for brunch on a Sunday. It is a meal I will remember for quite a while, in the best way. The buffet had a Taiwanese theme and the cold noodles were delucious. So was the Chinese Donut Salad (yes, a donut salad). I ordered the scallion pancake that came with peanut sauce, arugula and poached eggs inside. So... More

Joule is located in a somewhat quiet area of Seattle, just outside the University district. You walk in and you're not sure which way to go-to the right is a restaurant that has a bit of a New England feel, and to the left is Joule which has a more stylish vibe going on. Go left. Joule has takes Asian... More

I love Joule. The food is great, wonderful ambiance, staff are efficient. Very creative dishes. Love the fusion concept. Nice selection of wines, too.

I am usually put off by anything with "fusion" in the description, but I am glad that I trusted the reviews and went here anyway! My husband and I stopped in for a nice dinner during our last trip to Seattle and were quite pleased. The layout is perfect for warm summer nights with plenty of windows and a cozy... More

Rainy night in the city and don't feel like schlepping to Whole Foods for, let's face it, another prepared meal and a little overindulgence at the dessert counter? Head to Joule! Even though reservations are a good idea, there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting cozy on the covered patio near the fire pit, complete with a wool blanket draped... More

All restaurants should consider serving meals in the manner of Joule...ordering one (or more each) entrée, side, and dessert served family style and shared. My husband and I like smaller portions and ordering one of each category and sharing them when served family style makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. No more asking for a second plate or... More

We have eaten here before and thought it much better than this time - could have just been an off-night; or our choices. Our server was great, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the poppyseed noodles, which were very heavy and overshadowed the accompanying flavors. The shrimp cocktail was very good, ($11) the smoked tofu a nice presentation with little cubes... More

A friend from work recommended Joule's so my wife and I decided to give it a shot on our regularly scheduled "date night". Upon walking into the place I knew I was going to love it. The open concept allows the guest to watch as food is prepared. We were seated at the cooking bar, which was what we prefer.... More
