I came here at about 1pm to avoid the lunch crowd. There were about 4 other people in shop before me but they were already eating their food. I placed my order, the drunken chicken with the spicy onion rings. About 8 people came in after me. I waited and waited and the 6 of the 8 people behind me... More

What a delightful surprise to discover this rather mundane appearing cafe on East Pike. This is not your "Subway" sandwich eatery; rather, the wonderful flavors of Thailand and other points east. Fresh, flavorful and delicious.

I stumbled across this little place on my way to a certain shop, and thought the menu looked good so I gave it a try. Very cute ambience - the owner clearly loves dogs as the various paintings (and logo) attest. Small place with large windows, enjoyed being there. You could have the chicken or beef or whatever on a... More

upscale bahn mi! A bit deceiving by the name in that I was expecting some french bistro type sandwiches--but they are AWESOME--not your inexpensive Vietnamese bahn mi, though. Great flavors and mixes. Good fresh fries. MMMMM

Stopped by for a weekday lunch around 2 pm. The place was crowded and the service was a little slow. But the sandwiches were tasty, with an Asian fusion flavor to the menu.

I would have happily had lunch here every day I was in Seattle last week, just to try the varieties of sandwiches on offer. Baguette box specializes in what we in Philadelphia call "Vietnamese hoagies," except the crunchy, slightly sourdough baguettes are far superior to hoagie buns. My husband had chorizo (a single, long sausage -- hot dog style); I... More

Grabbed lunch from here - unique menu and the food was very tasty although very messy. I'd like to go back and try a couple of other items from the menu.

We had two different baguettes. Both were dripping in grease, the kind that leaves you regretting your lunch choice for the rest of the day. It was an unpleasant experience.

There are few places in Seattle to go for a good sandwich, or sandwiches that are interesting. The Baguette Box, opened by Eric Bahn of Monsoon, serves an interesting array of sandwiches that come on a crisp exterior baguette. On a recent trip, I had the braised pork belly with cilantro, hoisin, and thinly shaved pickled cucumbers. A must-have side... More
