This is a simple yet chaotic bakery, deli, grocery store - we love it. Prices are super reasonable for some home cooked goods. Our latest purchase was the Meat Cannelloni's ($7.76/lb) - delicious, a large meat & potato filled pocket sort of thing ($2.50/per) that looks like a calzone - very good, multiple pound cakes - reminded me of mom's.... Always go to borracchini's for any baked goods I need , always fresh and the best with a terrific variety from slightly to super sweet . Lately have started buying from the deli , super sandwiches ,soups , salads and main course meals , all like you wished you could make at home . Don't tell my friends but often... More

I have had my wedding cakes and shower cakes all made here. My daughter's big birthday cake was made here last May! They have all been terrific. In Dec. on my monthly visit to purchase my favorite Biscotti. I saw an Italian named cookie translated to mean "Ugly Cookies". They are dark black with a crackled white power on top.... More

After reading recent favorable reviews, I decided to revisit Borracchini's. I had not been to this historic bakery in my neighborhood for 3 or 4 years because of a couple of visits when the customer service was, at best, not helpful. I went on a mid week day when it was not busy and shopped slowly through all the aisles.... More

This is a Seattle treasure and a great bakery! The people are very nice and offer advice on wedding and special occasion cakes and bakery items.. They have been making fabulous cakes for years here. Remo Borrachini, the owner is still there most days, though he is in his 80's. They made my daughter's wedding cake and now they are... More

A bakery par excellence, with a good selection of deli products. You can buy Italian dishes to either eat on premises -- some seating -- or take home. (Not just Italian food; I take home the chicken pot pies, freeze some to thaw and microwave when needed.)

Like a NY bakery with Italian cookies, cakes, sandwiches and cheeses. The frozen pastas seemed like they were in the freezer a little too long. Pre-made sandwiches reasonablably priced and tasty.

Holy Fabulosity, Batman! I must give thanks to the embarrassingly ungrateful ex-worker, Gladys (for shame!), who brought down the "wrath" (tee hee) of Seattle Solidarity. Otherwise, Borracchini's Bakery would never have made it onto my radar. We first started hearing of the issue on the local news stations on Thursday. Hearing of a disgruntled ex-employee carrying a grudge and an... More

I had the worst experience at this bakery today. I had called a week ago and asked if they would be able to make a gender cake. I needed a cake that was either pink or blue on the inside and frosted neutral on the outside. When the cake was cut open, the gender would be revealed. I am having... More

Remo Borracchini's bakery and deli is an historical Seattle landmark and a mouthwatering place to eat, or to shop for specialty groc. items. It was one of the first businesses to set up shop in the Seattle area, shortly after the turn of the century (1900, give or take). It was in an Italian enclave referred to by non-Italians as... More
