The purest, cleanest, absolutly best food you will ever eat!

Didn't have much experience with Vietnamese food, so was a little unsure of what to order. This place was amazing. Better than a majority of Asian restaurants I've been to. The restaurant was a little difficult to find, but this hidden gem was amazing and unexpected. The ambiance was intimate and prefect for a date night. The food was even... More

I had the Shrimp fried rice. Many large shrimp cooked to perfection. My regret is I didn't split the meal with my wife. It was a mountain of food. Without a doubt best I ever had. The appetizer was egg rolls, also best ever and that was a consensus by all 4 of us. We had 4 main dishes, 1... More

Being a frequent visitor to chinatown, I've seen this place many times while heading to others of my favorites. Tonight we gave it a try and wow, were we impressed! Each of us had a favorite dish with lots of different flavors and textures... the menu is maybe the largest I've ever seen but the excellent waitstaff is happy to... More

We had a wonderful lunch at Tamarind Tree. My wife is vegan, and she had no trouble coming up with dishes that she could eat, while others at the table ordered dishes with meat. The service was attentive, and the entire experience was very enjoyable. We'll come back next for another meal next time we're in Seattle.

Authentic Asian food. Our Malaysian friend took us here for lunch and we were blown away with the variety, the atmosphere, the diverse clientele, and especially the food! We keep hearing that it is the best Asian restaurant in Seattle. Definitely agree!

This has been a restaurant I have long wanted to try and am so glad an appointment took me just up the street. I now know first hand it is well worth making the trip to to this neighborhood to experience again. The service was attentive, the selection outstanding, and the taste of every bite delicious and memorable. We ate... More

We visited this hidden gem up Jackson from the heart of the International District on recommendations and we weren't disappointed. The food is original yet authentic, classy yet homey, the best of both worlds. It was a bit of a walk (10 mins or more from the Bus/Train stop) but worth it. Although it's hidden in the back of a... We spent two weeks last year traveling around Vietnam, and the food at the Tamarind Tree was better than any we had in Vietnam -- and I´m not joking. This place is inexpensive, too. We´re only in Seattle for two days, and I´d like to go back again. The lemongrass tofu was great. If you like Vietnamese food, give this... More

Tamarind Tree is a place than can take your breath away. Unbelievably excellent Vietnamese cooking for every dish . . . plentiful . . . at a reasonable price. Clientele here looks to be Oriental in the far majority, a really good trait if you're seeking authentic meals. And they are. Each dish for our group of four carried a... More
