Amazing bistro

Sitka and Spruce is a quaint restaurant that serves excellent local ingredients on a rotating menu. My partner had the brined and roasted chicken with fresh peas and long beans. Her quote " best chicken she has ever had". Excellent wine selection and fresh fish. Sit at the "long table" which... read more

We came here from a recommendation from a friend. It was a challenge finding parking--but it was worth the walk. We did not have a reservation. But we were able to be quickly seated. The menu changes daily. The food we ate was delicious. I could have licked my plate had I not cared about my manners. There was only... More

The chef has made careful consideration of the menu. Everything was wonderful. Best salmon dish I had in Seattle

We almost couldn't find the place as it is hidden in the back end of a huge space that hosts other food venues including a bar. But once there you understand how unique this restaurant is. This is a farm to table place so the menu changes accordingly. The asparagus in cream sauce, mushroom mureille bruschetta with poached egg, the... More

Last night I hosted a business dinner in the private dining area of S&S for 8 very discerning colleagues. Firstly I cannot reiterate quite how well received the food was. From the sourdough and cream cheese served on our arrival, the antipasti course, fresh and mouthwatering salads drenched in a tangy tarragon dressing, asparagus served two ways, the house speciality... A fun quirky location- kind of like a co-op/small market where this restaurant is tucked away in the back. Not fancy but the food is high quality and delicious. I didn't care for the meat offerings (salmon, rabbit, duck) but everything else was good! Small and the kitchen is right there in the open. Great concept. Amazing bread!!

I came to Seattle solo for a business trip and wanted to experience great food without the crowded happy hour bar atmosphere. I was recommended to visit the Melrose Market, and found Sitka and Spruce. I was blown away by the creative menu with sprinkles of Pacific Northwest flavors like juniper, classic yet innovative cocktail menu and funky atmosphere. I... More

One of the best meals ever—and I’ll check that box on tripadvisor. The relatively small, daily changing menu is wonderfully innovative, amazingly fresh, locally rooted—it will provide a welcome jolt to even the most jaded of palettes. The chef’s touch is deft, combining just the right number of ingredients, tastes, and textures—just right and not too over the top much.... More

A colleague and I dropped by on a busy Saturday night to this restaurant, which I've been dying to try for a while now, solely on it's appearance alone. Inside an "urban marketplace" that has a butcher, cheesemaker, wine bar and other stores exists Sitka and Spruce, complete with an open kitchen where you can sit at a bar stool... More
