I came to Seattle solo for a business trip and wanted to experience great food without the crowded happy hour bar atmosphere. I was recommended to visit the Melrose Market, and found Sitka and Spruce. I was blown away by the creative menu with sprinkles of Pacific Northwest flavors like juniper, classic yet innovative cocktail menu and funky atmosphere. I... More

One of the best meals ever—and I’ll check that box on tripadvisor. The relatively small, daily changing menu is wonderfully innovative, amazingly fresh, locally rooted—it will provide a welcome jolt to even the most jaded of palettes. The chef’s touch is deft, combining just the right number of ingredients, tastes, and textures—just right and not too over the top much.... More

A colleague and I dropped by on a busy Saturday night to this restaurant, which I've been dying to try for a while now, solely on it's appearance alone. Inside an "urban marketplace" that has a butcher, cheesemaker, wine bar and other stores exists Sitka and Spruce, complete with an open kitchen where you can sit at a bar stool... More

Lots of locally sourced, organic options. Well thought out and varied menu. Located in an old warehouse. Loved this place.

The presence of nettles in nearly every dish makes this restaurant exactly as I described in the title: earthy and delicious. The tapas dishes are each unique, and I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with anything you might order here. The celeriac gnudi and smoked halibut in nettle broth were two particularly amazing menu options. This place is a must-visit... More

Jumped on TA from nearby hotel and found this spot. What character and charm in the middle of the block. You are transformed into a Country Kitchen setting as you pass several small individual shops....The menu is so fresh and creative. My wife had the brioche pain perdue with rose cream, pistachios & cardamom. Super fancy french toast but it... More

After my brother's wedding, we enjoyed brunch for 8 at Sitka & Spruce. The food was lovely, service nice, and ambiance open and casual This is my second time here and i have enjoyed both experiences.

Had lunch here with colleagues while visiting Seattle for a conference. Great looking farmer market style place. We sat at a table directly connecting to the open kitchen. We basically could touch the stove. Very nice charcuteria of homemade pate, air dryed ham, liver mousse, rillettes of duck and head cheese accompanied by pickled mustard seeds. Also cheese platter was... More

Parsnips, Tuna, and Beets were all inspired dishes. I ordered them to share with my dinner partner and we were glad we both got to taste all three. We didn't leave any morsels--not even a crumb of the sourdough bread. Server was well-informed and very pleasant. Extra staff was strong too. We sat at the "bar" and felt like we... More
