My wife and I were in Seattle for just one night, and after a long day of travel, we wanted to get dinner someplace close to our hotel. We saw that Umi Sake House was just a few blocks from where we were staying, so we decided to give it a try. We were definitely happy that we made a... More

I am not a sushi expert but what a great experience. I went with veteran sushi eaters so we sampled many things and it was all top notch. So delicious, light, fresh, tasting. Sushi c an be daunting, but we couldn't go wrong.

The sushi at Umi is unbelievable. Happy hour runs from 4pm to 6pm. The sushi offered then is good, better than some other sushi places offer up as their regular sushi. The special rolls are fantastic. The chef's come up with some of their own ideas and try them out. The night we went there a new roll called Jomaki... More

Our first visit to Seattle. We picked this place at random - and was worth the short trip. Loved the vegetarian options. The saki selection was just awesome.

I have eaten Sushi in Miami, New York, and LA- this place is up there with the best I have had (maybe the best). The place has a good upbeat vibe. If you don't live in a major city, you will be amazed at the menu- super creative rolls, amazing raw fish, huge sake menu. The specials menu was so... More

I was there with my colleagues from Japan, it was a very late supper and they approved it, so I am sure the food quality is great! I was there in February 2012.

The Umi Sake house seems to be losing its touch. The sushi wasn't nearly as explosive with flavours as it was at this time last year. And if the flavour isn't there, the prices they charge are not justifiable. Not sure what's changed but they need to go back to how it was before.

I came to this restaurant with my family not too long ago. My sister insisted that we check it out. I was hesitant because I have not really enjoyed the sushi that I have had at other restaurants. So I wasn't exactly looking forward to having dinner here. That whole perspective started to change once I got there. I loved... More

We really enjoyed it here. The atmosphere & decor was really nice. We walked from our hotel which was a lot further than we expected but it was nice.

I booked dinner for my family here before I read all the 'happy hour' comments. I was a little nervous arriving with my tween and teen at the end of the happy time but it was all fine. The deals during happy hour are worth it ($5 rolls, saki, and appetizers) though they are scaled down and not as creative... More
