I got the salmon, mackerel, and octopus. I ordered the grilled squid for a small main. The grilled squid was really good and a lot more than I was expecting to receive. I ordered the octopus and mackerel and picked the salmon by default. The salmon was so good I asked for another piece. It really melted in my mouth.... More

They have a diverse list of sakes and the staff are knowledgeable when asking questions about styles and types. Sushi rolls are excellent as well. The atmosphere is crowded and noisy BUT for some reason there is a great feeling of privacy for most areas! Extremely fast during busy times as well!

Went for a night out with my wife when we were in town. Really good sushi and probably some of the best salmon we've ever had.

This restaurant is deceptively big...and has so much energy. The food is outstanding. They have a list of sake cocktails...I don't like sake but I loved these. The sashimi is amazing...it's a great place to get the best of Seattle's seafood...

If you don't like fusion sushi like myself, this is not a place for you. Though they have traditional ones, prices were expensive. Went there just because we were in the area already and therefore just gave it a try. Prices are of course high as it is Seattle downtown. Fish varieties centered around salmon, tuna, hotate and hamachi for... More

On a recent visit to Seattle, we wanted to have fresh sushi in the Pacific Northwest. We had just been to Portland and thorougly enjoyed Bamboo Sushi which was fabulous and quite reasonably priced. In comparing the king salmon, I give the edge to Bamboo. On the happy hour menu at Umi, you could three types of salmon sashimi (2... More

Went here for Sushi on our last night visiting Seattle. Long wait but it was definitely worth it. Great tasting and many Sushi selection. Ambiance is nice and fun but could be noisy. So if you are going for a quiet dinning, this may not be the place. The red WIne selection is limited with only 3 choices for a... More

Walked in with a group of 8 and was seated right away. I was looking for a sweet and spicy roll ad was referred the sweet inferno which was delicious. We had the sushimi flight for a starter with fried tofu. Both delicious! It's priced well with a patio happy hour until 8. Good service, great sushi, I'll return.
