Stopped by for a quick meal and a couple of beers. Sat at the bar - pleasant enough. The service was prompt. The sushi was OK but nothing too spectacular.

I will start out by noting two things: 1) we use trip advisor for crowd sourced information, and are rarely disappointed; and 2) we are very particular about places that serve Sushi, and our experience is based on some great Sushi places in the SF Bay Area. We went to the Umi Sake House for a Saturday evening dinner. We... More

We love sushi and always seek it out. We went with our kids. Its a very busy place but there seemed to be a lot of kids with parents. Nigiri and Sushi rolls were all good. Would return.

Being located in Seattle and with many positive reviews, I expected great dining experience at this restaurant. Their nigiri's were OK but you only get one piece for one order. And, maguro, the king of sushi, they had only one kind. For Sushi place to not offer different cuts of maguro was disappointing. Sashimi was better with varieties of fish... More

Showing up at Good restaurants without reservations even early in the evening will only lead you to the bar stools, especially on the week ends. But than the happy hours extend an hour more at the bar. Umi serves excellent Sashimi, We ordered Unagi(fresh water eel) and Sake (salmon) Sashimi, Tempora platter, Tuna and Salmon happy hour Sashimi. All the... More

After reading all the wonderful review about this restaurant I was expecting the best sushi, ever!!!! How disappointing!. The sushi is barely OK (my wife is japanese and was even more disappointed). It is overpriced (a lot!); one piece (one) is 3.75-4.00 $. One roll is around 20.00 $. It is umbelievably noisy and there is no parking nearby. The... More

I was up in Seattle for a business trip, but since I had a few friends there we went out at night. First things first, downtown Seattle's happy hour starts pretty late at night until midnight. Since I was in meetings all day, I was really looking forward to "happy hour" not really understanding that it started a few later... More

My goodness, heard good things about this place for sushi and gave it a try. The sake choices were amazing we tried the sampler. Great cocktails too! The appetizer was soggy but the miso was good and the rolls were good. Love the food but the noise was deafening. Don’t try this place if you want a romantic evening. Maybe... More
