My husband and I tried this restaurant based on the good reviews from Tripadvisor. We were terribly disappointed. We made reservations ahead of time, so were seated promptly. The setting was nice with a tiny atrium filled with tropical plants. It took a long time before our server came to the table, so when she did, we were ready to... More

Every time we are in Seattle we have to eat at Umi's. The sushi and sake on happy hour is amazing! We start with the 5 piece sushi and then have the ribs. The spicy tuna roll was really good also.

Our son found this restaurant for our first night in Seattle. He had read good reviews on Yelp. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We pick 5 different rolls and then let the chef make one of her choice. Everyone was fresh and and tasty. We would go there again anytime we are in Seattle!

I have had sushi all over (Manhattan, Tokyo, San Fran, Hawaii, LA) ... this is the best sushi meal that I can recall ever having. Very, very fresh fish. Expertly prepared. Friendly, entertaining, female sushi chef. Excellent!

Umi sake was recommended by our concierge and it did not dissappoint. Its one of the best sashimi and sushi houses I have visited. They have an excellent sake selection and the food is as fresh as can be.I would highly recommend the moonraker roll.

We went here for dinner and it was wonderful. The sushi tasted very fresh and was outstanding in taste. I've had better edamame, but the sushi is what it's all about. The presentation was even very beautifully done. I had the Pretty in Pink and tried others samples of my parties dishes and it was all good. I would recommend... More

The sushi menu is one of the best I have ever seen. It even includes white salmon, which I have no know idea how to acquire other than get lucky and catch yourself. The rolls are very interesting however next time I'd abstain from overly sweet mango glaze and cilantro in one of them. Sake list (which is closer to... More

When I come to Seattle to visit every year, Umi Sake House is my "must go" at least once during my stay. There were 3 of us. My father is extremely hard of hearing and the Hostess accommodated us by getting us a table in the front area which was less noisy. We ordered the - Garlic Short Ribs beef... More

We went to Umi during our first trip to Seattle. I had done my research and found good reviews here and on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. The sushi menu is EXPANSIVE and can be overwhelming, but it's worth it to read every single option. We decided on a couple... More

We made reservations for 4 without a problem for 5:30 on Tuesday night. I would recommend asking for a 4 top at the front entry. Avoid the back room since the air conditioning doesn't compensate for 85 degree weather. I am sure it would be fine any other month except summer. I enjoyed the Jalapeno Himachi featuring yellowtail sashimi, jalapeño,... More
