We went here for dinner and it was wonderful. The sushi tasted very fresh and was outstanding in taste. I've had better edamame, but the sushi is what it's all about. The presentation was even very beautifully done. I had the Pretty in Pink and tried others samples of my parties dishes and it was all good. I would recommend... More

The sushi menu is one of the best I have ever seen. It even includes white salmon, which I have no know idea how to acquire other than get lucky and catch yourself. The rolls are very interesting however next time I'd abstain from overly sweet mango glaze and cilantro in one of them. Sake list (which is closer to... More

When I come to Seattle to visit every year, Umi Sake House is my "must go" at least once during my stay. There were 3 of us. My father is extremely hard of hearing and the Hostess accommodated us by getting us a table in the front area which was less noisy. We ordered the - Garlic Short Ribs beef... More

We went to Umi during our first trip to Seattle. I had done my research and found good reviews here and on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. The sushi menu is EXPANSIVE and can be overwhelming, but it's worth it to read every single option. We decided on a couple... More

We made reservations for 4 without a problem for 5:30 on Tuesday night. I would recommend asking for a 4 top at the front entry. Avoid the back room since the air conditioning doesn't compensate for 85 degree weather. I am sure it would be fine any other month except summer. I enjoyed the Jalapeno Himachi featuring yellowtail sashimi, jalapeño,... More

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Umi. The sushi and calamari tasted very fresh and the waitstaff was super friendly. Would definitely eat here again if we travel back to Seattle.

We wanted sushi we could walk to from our hotel - boy did we get lucky. We stumbled into Umi during happy hour and everything was amazing. Even the veggie roll was probably the best veggie roll I've ever had. My kiddo loved their tomago - and the pieces were huge. They have a great happy hour and really fantastic... More

Being in Seattle I wanted to eat fresh seafood and Asian fare. Umi Sake House hit the right note for both. Where ever you're staying in downtown, do yourself a favor a walk this beautiful city. Walking from the Hilton to hear was a decent walk but I got to experience everything that is good about Seattle. The walk along... More

Good sushi and cool atmosphere. I highly recommend the "Mr. Perfect" roll; absolutely true (it was perfect). The only drawbacks are that it is a bit spendy and the service staff could use some improvements.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner by recommendation of a client of mine and she was absolutely on point. First May was our server and she was very knowledgeable of the menu and even helped us to find just the right rolls to try out. We had the the Sunburst, a Spicy Salmon, tempura shrimp, and... More
