I've been here twice - once at the bar and the second at a table. The food has always been amazing. The ambience is quite nice. I love the bathrooms! My first time we had a flight of sake. Highly recommended! They bring edamame to start which is always yummy! Pricing is average for sushi. It's nothing you should be... More

Visited Umi Sake on a Saturday evening with some friends. The sushi was fresh, imaginative rolls. Had uni, tobiko and ikura, all with added uzura (quail eggs) - awesome! The oyster shooter was great. Most of the rolls were great - street fighter, hotter than hell, others were good, but did not stand out. Lobster tempura appetizer was light and... More

Fabulous sushi, perhaps the best in this city. On every visit to Seattle, I try to hit this restaurant on arrival and before departure. Their fish is fresh and nicely served. The only minus is that the restaurant is very noisy – I like to eat my sushi in peace. Still, I’d rather have great sushi in a noisy place... More

Good sushi…service. A bit pricey. We sat at the Sushi bar but gave our order to the waitress. Seemed a bit odd. There was no banter with the sushi chefs like we are used to. Glad we tried it but would probably not return.

Traveling from Boise for wedding/family vacation to finally do the tourist thing in Seattle. Many family members suggested this place. We went at 9pm on Sunday night and we still waited 45 minutes. There wasn't many people waiting but you can tell they prefer you to make a reservation to save some time. Also, street parking is free on Sundays... More

We didn't make a reservation and had to wait 30 minutes to a table. The place is big, crowded and noisy. It doesn't suit a nice quiet romantic dinner. The service was very good, pleasant and efficient. We took miso soup to begin with, moved to some sashimi and tuna tartar and than 3 special roles, which were very good.... More

I recently visited Seattle and was looking for a fun sushi happy hour place. My husband and I went around 5:30 and it quickly filled up. The happy hour is cheap and very good. The atmosphere is great too. Highly recommend.

Took my son here for some great local sushi! Great service and food. I would definitely recommend calling for reservations.

Amazing happy hour! They open right at 4, and my group was seated right away. There was a line starting to form before they even opened the doors, so you know it's going to be good! We had Japanese beer, sushi, and tempura. Great prices for happy hour which is EVERY day (even Saturday and Sunday!). About $5 for most... More

We have eaten at a sushi restaurant in DC where the Japanese ambassador dines and tend to compare all others to that experience. Umi Sake rates VERY close! Sushi was fresh, melt in your mouth and reasonable in price. We also ordered yakisoba that was fantastic! All the cocktails were also amazing! They were very busy so service was a... More
