Very Good Sashimi, excellent quality but small portions

Showing up at Good restaurants without reservations even early in the evening will only lead you to the bar stools, especially on the week ends. After reading all the wonderful review about this restaurant I was expecting the best sushi, ever!!!! How disappointing!. The sushi is barely OK (my wife is japanese and was even more disappointed). It is overpriced (a lot!); one piece (one) is 3.75-4.00 $. One roll is around 20.00 $. It is umbelievably noisy and there is no parking nearby. The... More

I was up in Seattle for a business trip, but since I had a few friends there we went out at night. First things first, downtown Seattle's happy hour starts pretty late at night until midnight. Since I was in meetings all day, I was really looking forward to "happy hour" not really understanding that it started a few later... More

My goodness, heard good things about this place for sushi and gave it a try. The sake choices were amazing we tried the sampler. Great cocktails too! The appetizer was soggy but the miso was good and the rolls were good. Love the food but the noise was deafening. Don’t try this place if you want a romantic evening. Maybe... More

See Title. We visited this place while traveling on our honeymoon (2013). It was such a delight. A must see.

This place has one of the best selections of vegetarian Sushi rolls - you have to particularly try the Lucky Leprechaun - totally love it! Serving size is good, at decent prices, great service and the ambience is awesome as well. Overall, a great place to have Sushi in Seattle. You would usually find long queues, so try to book... This place is simply AMAZING!! The ambience is perfect to hang out with friends or a date with you significant one. We started with the Oyster Shooter and its out of this world! We returned the day after just to have another Oyster Shooter. The rolls were all really good and tasteful. The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality... More

Our tempura was very oily but the vegetables inside the batter were good. The seaweed salad and sushi/nigiri were delicious. The geoduck was so fresh I could taste the sea water. Very attractive dining room. The room gets very loud when the restaurant is full.

Searched to find high rated reviewed restaurant near our hotel in Belltown. Found Umi and made reservations for a Friday night. Due to late start, we had to call them and see if they had later table and luckily they did. When we arrived there at 8pm, were about 20 people waiting outside, but that seemed to be somewhat common... More
