Today my Fiancé and I took our friends to Cafe Presse. Our good friend is French and because we saw the menu was first in French then in English he ordered his meal in French. Rather than be polite, our waitress was extremely rude about it. After she took our order she stopped serving our table and we heard her... More

I had the coffee -- very good -- and a mushroom omelette, which was OK though greasy. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

On June 29, 2013, a colleague and I wandered into this quaint little restaurant in the Capital Hill area of Seattle. The restaurant reminded of the little French bistros I had visited while in Paris. It did not have the best attention to detail and the wait service was nothing special but the food was decent and worth our return.... More

My wife and I were looking for breakfast near our hotel and stumbled on this cafe based on TA reviews. Really good! We shared a salad and a Croque Madame, coffee, and fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, all of which were excellent. I wish we had a place like this back home!

I'm not a coffee person, but a write-up in a local magazine about hot chocolate brought me here. I had the Parisian-style Chocolat chaud, which was dark, deliciious and different. More dessert than drink, it combined a cup of dark, viscous cocoa (almost like melted chocolate) with a separate slab of whipped cream on a plate. Non-plussed, I asked the... More

Café Presse has long been one of my favorite spots for an instant immersion on French café society. Eat there at least once every term after teaching a class nearby, so was shocked to have such an average, even unsatisfactory experience there on a recent evening. It led me to wonder if Café Presse is on the skids. The evening... More

We were in Seattle for work and were looking for somewhere to have a late lunch as most places were closed. A gal at another restaurant suggested the Cafe as they are always open and where she goes afterwork. A perfect meak with some steak frittes and a few glasses of wine. We didnt have the croque monsieur or madamme... More

I just met a friend here and ordered the chocolat chaud on her recommendation. It was amazing and gave me a great chocolate fix. Thick, rich, hot chocolate with a side of whipped cream to be spooned in. Heaven in a cup.

The food is good but what a din. They play their music too loud and a meal will cost you your ear drums! Not my choice for relaxing dining.

While searching for Stumptown in Seattle we ran into this gem of a French Bistro on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Being French myself I can attest to the authenticity of their food. Probably the best frites we ever had in America. The combo of homemade fries and dip was remarkable. I had the croque monsieur and my husband had a... More
