Excellent Food and Interesting Menu, but DON'T BE IN A HURRY FOR THE CHECK !!!

My wife and I ate at Cafe Presse twice during a week-long legal conference at Seattle University (the campus is worth a visit, BTW, even if you don't have business there). The place is tiny, with small somewhat cramped tables inside, and a little bit less cramped outdoor patio with market umbrella... read more

Delicious French Bistro-style favorites served briskly in this casual restaurant. Both bar and table service, open early til late, no linen table cloths, but very good food. The fries with aioli will make you think you are back in Europe, but the Croque Monsieur may be better than the one you had in Paris. Portions are generous and prices are... More

As long time customers, we are looking for other options. The servers cannot seem to get things right. Well past opening time, we were shooed back out the door and made to wait on the sidewalk until 7:15. After multiple mistakes with the ordered items (and a near disastrous spill) I was ready to walk. 25 minutes waiting for a... More

I've been coming here since they first opened, though less frequently recently. Had lunch today and it was terrific. Very French I suppose. I had a wonderful mackerel with oranges, potatoes, olives, parsley, and some nice Gauillac Rose, followed by an espresso. I really enjoyed it. Sunny day in Seattle (course they are all sunny this year) and some of... More

We recently stopped by Cafe Presse while on vacation in Seattle. We wanted to go to a sitdown cafe that offered more to eat than your standard muffins, bagels and danishes. This place serves french food but don't let that scare you away if you've never tried that before. Both my fiance and I tried the Croque Monsieur, which was... More

A must go if you love French food and French butter! The breakfast is absolutely fabulous! The just kept serving us their baguette and French butter when we finished it. Great service!

Met a friend at Cafe Presse for a glass of wine and appetizers and we had a great time. Food and drinks were tasty and the atmosphere was terrific. Easy location too! Would highly recommend. They have wifi if that is important to you as well!

If you are looking for a little French flavor in Capital Hill go no further than Cafe Presse. Almond coffee cake superb and Croque Madame perfecto. Really! Outside, bar and table seating. My go to for a relaxed light meal in a French cafe in my favorite city.

Unfortunately for us, we live in a town that has nothing but big chain restaurants. There is no imagination at all when corporations move in to make the buck off everyone of us. Every restaurant is the same in the next town. So when we came up to Seattle for the weekend, we deliberately hunt for the unordinary places to... More

Wonderful little French bistro with great food. I loved the croque madame which had a delicious Gruyere crust. If only it didn't have Seattle Seahawks paraphernalia all over the walls; you might be persuaded to think you were dining off the Champs Elysee. The tables were very close together and you hear surrounding conversations which is less than favorable. But... More
