Best Croque Madame I've ever had

Wonderful little French bistro with great food. I loved the croque madame which had a delicious Gruyere crust. If only it didn't have Seattle Seahawks paraphernalia all over the walls; you might be persuaded to think you were dining off the Champs Elysee. The tables were very close together and... read more

Unfortunately for us, we live in a town that has nothing but big chain restaurants. There is no imagination at all when corporations move in to make the buck off everyone of us. Every restaurant is the same in the next town. So when we came up to Seattle for the weekend, we deliberately hunt for the unordinary places to... More

Wonderful little French bistro with great food. I loved the croque madame which had a delicious Gruyere crust. If only it didn't have Seattle Seahawks paraphernalia all over the walls; you might be persuaded to think you were dining off the Champs Elysee. The tables were very close together and you hear surrounding conversations which is less than favorable. But... More

Saw this place on "Check, Please!" and thought it looked worth a trip. Open from 7am to 2am (gads) in the vicinity of Seattle U. and three hospitals it seemed to fill a niche - good food, quickly and I expensively prepared, frugal setting, yet with a somewhat interesting atmosphere. They also sell an eclectic mix of english-, french-, and... More

With a rather French flavour, the minuscule breakfast menu made for easy choosing. House-made pastries, a couple of egg dishes and some bread. Pain et beurre is nothing more than half a baguette with butter and jam; something the better half was more than content with. Being content would have been an understatement when it came to the œufs plats,... More

Went before university started so was easy to et seating. Don't know what it would be like when school starts. Had an omelet and croque madame. Both were very good. Service was great. Needed to get in and out in 30 minutes and we were able to do that.

If you like lots, and I mean LOTS, of salt and fries this place might do it for you. there are NO substitutions allowed. If it comes with fries don't even ask for the couscous, not gonna happen. I thought the idea was to please your patrons. the chicken was tasty but so very salty. There seems to be a... More

Good food, but a terrible service experience would make me second guess coming back here. The coffee and brunch food are great, and the outside patio, while a bit cramped, is great on a nice day. However, our food order was clearly lost and rather than appologizing, excuses were made even while people just sitting down were getting their food.... More

I came here for the France/Germany soccer match. France lost, but I won since the food and drinks here were amazing. I had the broiled egg, ham & cheese dish and it was absolutely perfect. The only bad thing was that I did feel a little bit of envy as I saw some of my fellow dinners get their croque... More

The sister restaurant to Le Pichet, not quite as good but still very good. It is larger and has a different feel than Pichet. Many things like the wine list are similar or exactly the same. Very reasonable, did I mention great coffee? Definitely worth a visit or two.

Already a fan of Le Pichet, I trekked for forty minutes to 12th Ave to try another from the same stable, Cafe Presse. Crowded due to the screening of the World Cup football, I shared a table with a pleasant family, and ordered the croque monsieur. When in France, I fancy this sandwich when it's cooler, or if extra calories... More
