Description: We are a downtown gathering place, where soul-satisfying foods radiate with the intense flavors of seasonal ingredients from our favorite local farmers and producers. Executive chef, Craig Hetherington, can make tomato soup with griddled cheese sandwich seem just as refined as his Dungeness crab tagliatelle. Pastry chef Will Fausser explores variations on classic desserts such as Theo chocolate cake with marshmallow topping and graham cracker ice cream and milk and cookies. A choice of large or small plates makes exploring and sharing the menu a breeze. Our wines come exclusively from the Northwest and are priced to purchase by the glass or bottle. Our beers are also brewed here in the Northwest. We are located at the Seattle Art Museum, which is a block away from the main entrance of Pike Place Market and a short walk from the downtown shopping district.

Nice, but noisy, restaurant in the Seattle Art Museum. As museum restaurants go, this is most pleasant, and one would have to travel to MOMA in New York or Tate Gallery in London to find something better. That is to say, it is a well-thought-out, but not gourmet menu, well presented, and reasonably priced. I had a shrimp salad with... More

The restaurant has been open a week and it is beautiful at first glance. The owners spared no expense on decorating and the atmosphere is probably amazing at night. The food presentation was also lovely, but that's where it stopped. The food was horrible. We ordered something simple. Pork was so overcooked it actually cut my gum when I bit... More

I have eaten here twice and both times found the food fairly good but not remarkable and the service lacking. The ambiance is pleasant and it is ideally situated for catching a bite before or after a museum visit. Of the food I found the clams good, the roast chicken very good, and the herb cookies fair. Another diner ordered... More

Really excellent organic food. We had the burgers and the butternut squash soup. We were there for lunch. The prices were reasonable and the food and service were both great. You have got to try the soup. It was sooooo good.

TASTE has been on our 'to eat' list for quite some time. Recently we made reservations for a Sunday afternoon (unnecessary) and headed downtown. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. We shared a few items - the Eggs Benny and the yogurt were fantastic! They offer a full menu with lots of variety and something for everyone.... More

See its review on the Seattle Art Museum review. Great meal of Pacific North West Wild Salmon on farao grain. Husband also had a great meal. Both meals ranked very high on list of all meals we had in Greater Seattle Area during 7 night stay

After a morning of climbing all over downtown Seattle, we were hot, exhausted travelers who felt like we had just finished the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Despite our disheveled spirits, the wait staff was wonderful, seemed to understand exactly what we needed, magically restored our souls, and fed us a lovely meal that allowed us to enjoy the museum. After... More

The restaurant is conveniently located within the Seattle Art Museum and has a very interesting design. As the menu didn't offer many choices I picked a Louie salad with bay shrimp, even if I'm not a big salad fan. The salad was absolutely delicious and the service was really good. The restaurant also has really good prices for what it... More

If you're near the Seattle Art Museum and feeling peckish, duck into the museum restaurant, TASTE, and order any of the starters or sides. It won't take long. There's a list of delicious wines-by-the-glass to accompany. And, at least on the night I was there, the server was fast, friendly and helpful. Didn't order from the main menu, but that... More

We took a break from the museum to relax and have lunch. I had cod fritters, a beet salad and hot tea. It was just right!
