The true Seattle espresso experience

I'm rarely on Capitol Hill these days but I do love Vivace Roasteria. It was the first coffee shop I ever went to where they made patterns in the foam before it became popular. Their roaster is right there in the middle of the coffeeshop and the coffee is rich and smooth.

The coffee here rivals/surpasses anything I have had in 36 different countries. The roast, grind & pour of each drink is exquisite

For years, always a prefect shot with heavenly crema. Anything made with milk is equally amazing. In particular I really love their macchiato. Service is efficient and professional. Whenever I go I alway pick up a bag of whole been coffee (Dolce & Vita) as I find it to be the best for my espresso at home. I live right... More

Forget Star $$$. For great coffee, head right to Vivace. Dave, the founder, is a giant among coffee roasters, and his passion is everywhere. Great coffee, excellent pastries.

I know this is supposed to be one of the go-to places for coffee in Seattle, but I'm not a fan. It looks very pretty (Vivace is known for its latte art) but it just doesn't really taste of anything. Best described as coffee for people who don't really like coffee. There are many other better places.

Close your eyes and the Ponte Vecchio is around the corner but all you see is the Space Needle and sunshine.

Have visited all (?) 3 Vivaces over the years, and the coffee and barista skills have never, and I mean never, disappointed. I am, unapolegetically, a coffee snob, and Javasti's is a 'benchmark' for measuring all other expressos against.

Vivace is where I go when I need a good cup of coffee and a place to hang out and work on my computer. Always a pleasure to be here.

I get my roasted beans from here weekly always fresh and roasted correctly, I have gone almost everywhere in Seattle and have concluded that Vivace is the freshest offering at the most reasonable price.
