Good food, elegantly served, excellent location downtown and near the (open) central market. Crowded, bustling, tasty, ample, reasonably priced. Nothing fancy but well worth the effort to get there (and to find parking). This is not the place for a romantic meal, but it is an excellent place in which to hang out and eat well.

We started by ordering the chicken spring rolls these were by far the worst spring rolls I have ever had, I couldn't even choke down one. Next our entrees I ordered the four cheese tortellini the sauce was bland the noodles undercooked and the grana they grated on top was so over powering in made me get sick within minutes... More

We had a reservation, per suggestion, but we arrived and were seated much earlier, which was nice because we were ready to eat! Others who were without reservations were able to be seated, also (around 6 pm). As the evening wore on, the restaurant became more crowded, so I can see how reservations would be highly recommended. Our server was... More

Our first day in Seattle and we had the best meal (cod taco, clam chowder and very special salmon/polenta meal) and experience (sat at the chef's counter). Highly recommend.

I came from Arizona in search for as much fresh seafood I could eat during my visit. Steelhead Diner had my - Flash Fried Maryland Softshell Crab Po'Boy sandwich awaiting me to chose on the menu. The crab was huge and sweet and oh so good. In lue of eating this huge fried entree, our server let me swop the... More

We went twice - both times had the cod and chips. If I'd been writing this review after the first time I'd have given it very good for food and table but on the second visit the fish was very watery inside the batter which made it soggy. Chips nice though. We weren't that keen on our table as it... More

We were wandering around Pike Place looking for food. Everything had closed and we must have looked like we needed help. I nice local couple asked if we needed help. We asked if they had any restaurant suggestions for good food but not too fancy so we could take the kids. The recommended Steelhead Diner which was only 2 blocks... More

We had no reservations and just walked in. They found us a table right away. Our server looked like Katniss from the Hunger Games movie and was very good. Having never been there she helped is all find food that was too our liking and showed off the strengths of the place. The food was delicious, especially the steamed clams.... More

So disappointed--I was looking forward to eating here. If you are hungry, order sandwiches or fish tacos (very good, my daughter's choice). My husband had halibut and I had sole and we both left hungry--the fish was deftly cooked, but the lack of accompaniment left it wanting--serve a starch for God's sake. For $22 for a lunch entree, you should... More

While visiting Seattle, we were privileged to be taken to this restaurant, which has great views of Pike Market and Seattle's waterfront. BUT all was swept aside when I had my first taste of the best Fish and Chips I have Ever eaten. Do not miss this place!
