Nice Italian restaurant in Seattle downtown

Full disclosure: I am Italian. Italian food is usually made up of few, high quality ingredients. Somehow, Italian restaurants in the USA seems to forget about the "few" and they feel obliged to add a large amount of ingredients (or cheese!) to well-know recipes. Luckily, this restaurant... read more

Luckily, this restaurant resisted to the temptation. The parmigiana I had was absolutely great, made of... More

I went here for lunch during restaurant week and it so delicious. My waitress was friendly and attentive and the ambiance is very nice. I had the spicy meatball appetizer and gnocchi with venison ragu for my entree and both were amazing. I will definitely return next time I'm in Seattle!

Okay, I was tried to give this resto 2 nd chance since ALL my friend are really love this place. Mackenzie was our Servant. She was really great. As for the kitchen it is still OK. No way how you can eat escargot this way - maybe it is some American style I am not aware of. It is overall... More

I love italian food, and Seattle is not short of good options- Ethan Stowell made a living at it here. This was just great food. The service was friendly, warm but slow, so make sure you wanna be with your lunch mates, I did, so the long wait for food service was not a problem. I had the salmon penne... More

Local friends recommended this restaurant to us and it was near where we were staying so we decided to check it out. Went early and was able to get a table although it was packed which was surprising for 530pm. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. The spread that comes with... More

My waiter Joseph was amazing and so was the food. He recognized that I was traveling alone for business and stepped up to make the evening memorable rather than an ordinary meal alone. After a short conversation, I put my menu choices in his hands and the adventure began. Not only did he work with the kitchen to create several... More

Barolo is a relative upscale italian restaurant with fresh homemade Pasta. The Linguini, Ravioli, and Gnocchi are homemade and very well prepared. We had four Pasta dishes: The beef and ricotta Ravioli, the Lamb Ragu with homemade Linguini, the Lamb Ragu with Penne, and the Smoked Salmon and Asparagus in a cream sauce with homemade Linguini. All were good, the... More

Barolo is fabulous in many ways but its gem is the bar scene pretty much any evening. The bar area is small so get there early and enjoy the fabulous people watching while sipping on your cocktail and nibbles. Happy Hour is always worth the trip, there are excellent items to choose from to keep you nibbling all evening. If... More

Great wine list, menu, and atmosphere. The calamari and cheese appetizers were stellar. I had pasta with lamb ragu which I loved, and my husband said his ossobuco was great. Would go back.
