We arrived into our downtown Seattle hotel mid evening after a long day of travel. We asked for recommendations at the desk, and were not really blown away by any of them. We were in the mood for Italian, and so googled the Italian places in the neighborhood. We found Barolo a moderate walk away. We weren't sure at first... More

Went for the Pasta Fagioli - not the best. I can do better myself. However, the Spaghetti with calamari and parmiggiano was fantastic and on the Happy Hour Menu. Do it!

Best custom made Italian within walking distance of Westlake area. Swanky nightlife in the bar and good happy hour pricing.

Was tired -- hungry - staying in a large convention hotel -- and they thankfully recommended Barolo. Such a wonderful meal -- absolutely fantastic cocktails -- wonderful Italian wine list -- food was sumptuous - from bread - to final bite -- an exceptional meal. Copper River Salmon, entree was great. They made a one-off pasta mid-course for me --... More

Dinner at Barolo was the Piemontese culinary highlight of our visit to Seattle. We enjoyed every single dish that we ordered and I have to say the prices are reasonable for the high quality food that they serve. Our excellent waiter was friendly, capable and very knowledgable about the food & wine on the menu. His descriptions and recommendations are... More

Good decor, excellent service and most importently - good Italian food! had the Branzino - usually that is med fish, but they serve its cousin, from Chile - the Chilean sea bass and it was good. Also had Lenti soup with spinach - very good!

The happy hour is the best value in the city, if you want quality food and not "bar food". My wife and i have tried dinner and happy hour and recommend it for both. We are a bit picky since her hobby is cooking and eat out frequently, so i feel comfortable with this review. You won't find better quality... More

I am going to try to be balanced with this review and will provide a short version and a longer version depending on the amount of detail you like. We clearly caught Barolo on a “bad” night since it is clear from the other reviewers that the place is probably generally OK to good. Maybe even sometimes very good. But... More

The veal was the best I've had since leaving the East Coast decades ago. Also had a nice pino grigio. That said, it is a see-saw experience. Some of the staff look like models looking for another gig -- and food service and customer service aren't their primary goals. So, long waits, not checking back on customer happiness. And we...
