Wanting a fine dining experience in Seattle on a Saturday night, I booked with Open Table for an early reservation at Barolo, only a few minute walk from the Westin. The bar is a lively place, but I had a quiet table where I was professionally served by Joey. His suggestion for a wine selection with my crabmeat pasta in... More

Absolutely. The Barolo restaurant's team does a very good job. We came in for a quick business dinner, and set the serving team under a firm time pressure, but neverthekess - they made a marvellous job of it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasing, and the service was prompt. The food - we were with a party of... More

We didn't get a chance to go to Barolo the last few times we were in Seattle so we were looking forward our dinner last weekend. We were not disappointed! As in previous visits, the food was outstanding. They always have great specials and their appetizers are not to be missed (try the grilled octopus or calamari, and the grilled... More

Came in for dinner on a Friday night as it was in walking distance to hotel and sat at the bar since it was super busy. Food was amazing, some of the best calamari I've had. The atmosphere was pretty trendy and good distance from Paramount theater !

A note from my husband: My wife knows I'm hard to please with Italian food. We dined here for Seattle Restaurant Week in April, 2014. I returned for lunch the following week because the waiter mentioned the risotto was 'not to miss', but it was only offered on their lunch. Their dinner menu was outstanding, flavorful all around. Lunch was... More

Upon briefly visiting Seattle & staying at the downtown Westin we were looking for a restaurant within walking distance that had been well reviewed. We found Barolo restaurant, a couple of minutes walk away. This was a Saturday night & we had no reservations. The charming hostess found us outdoor seating ( it was a balmy night!). Service was excellent, a... More

We had excellent meal with stewed squid and tuna tartare as starters followed by osso buco and a veal escalope in a truffle sauce. Good wine list and finished with an Oregon grappa. Everything was served with friendly precision. Happenstance came up trumps.

Locally in central Seattle, an Italian trattoria with a broad menu and highly attentive wait staff, Borolo is an enjoyable experience. The appetizers are tempting, and I recommend ordering a few to share. We had the caprese salad and ravioli for the table. The waiter offered that although not on the “starter” menu, the ravioli main course is easily shared... More

My wife and I visited Barolo on a whim while visiting Seattle. It was in a convenient location within walking distance of our hotel, we were in the mood for Italian food, and we found reviews for Italian restaurants in the area and Barolo was at the top. We showed up a little early for our reservation, but were seated... More

Service was excellent and the food was very good. No major weaknesses here and I would recommend it. Very "hip" place--busy so reservations recommended. Good selection of italian wines.
