A busy day, preparing for the upcoming holidays, brought us to having a late lunch which turned into looking at the Happy Hour food menu! Had the best nachos platter EVER!! Thought I would order an additional selection after noshing on the nachos but found them to be so filling, I was full. Oh, should note too, I am not... More

Not impressed with this place. The complimentary tortilla chips were literally rancid tasting. They clearly do not change out their oil in a timely manner. Either that or they don't store it properly. Or something. Yuck. I got the Navajo Torta which was a big ole slab of pretty tasteless dough. It was supposed to have cheese on it and... More

I had read reviews for Cactus before heading to Seattle and knew that I had to try it. I am a huge fan of southwestern cuisine and rarely get to indulge in it unless I make it myself. I had the eggs Benedict with green chili biscuits and the tastiest potatoes (generally I'm not a fan of home fries, but... More

The drinks are amazing, but was slightly disappointed by the food. I ordered the sweet potato taco, but it was a little bland and the tacos were on the soggy side. Should have gone with the fajitas or enchiladas...definite food envy! On the plus side, the cocktails were seriously good!

In 2006, I was taken to this restaurant and had the "butternut squash enchiladas"--incredible! In fact, we went back there 2 nights later, and even though the menu had delicious sounding listings, I chose the butternut squash enchiladas again. 3 nights ago, I was in Seattle, and had the chance to go to Cactus restaurant. I wondered if they would... More

I stopped here for lunch and had a spa chicken. Not sure if the spa refers to the chicken's provenance or to the fact that the charred breast is laid out on spinach and julienned vegetables. In any event it was really quite good and savory if maybe just a touch too salty. My table mates also seemed to like... More

It's really good. I like the food here but it feels like it is fancy american version of mexican food. More a hybrid. The Guacamole is pretty great. The tacos are very good. Nothing here is bad. It is all quite good. A younger hipster crowd. Trendy atmosphere. This is a "go to" place for a lot of people in... More

We stopped at Cactus for a few drinks and appetizers after an afternoon food tour in Seattle. What a pleasant surprise to find a quality Mexican Food restaurant in West Seattle. The bar tender was fun and mixed a great Margarita. Even though we weren't real hungry we still managed to put away several baskets of chips and salsa. The... More

Cactus on Alki is one of my favorite places to eat in West Seattle. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city. My favorite dish is the seafood enchilada. Always so good and packed with flavor. They also serve a very tasty margarita. I can't recommend this place enough. Excellent food, always good service, and a wonderful atmosphere.
