Love this place. Don't turn away when you walk in, go to the back by the bar and enjoy some yummy German food. The cucumber and goat cheese sandwich used to be made differently and tasted better, but it was still good!

Love the pretzels, fried pickles, and beer selection. Also like that they seem to always have a table no matter how busy Ballard Ave is. Less crowded and better people inside.

People's Pub is a good standby, especially if the rest of the ave is packed with annoying people. The bar staff are super friendly and fun to hang out with, especially on slow afternoons. The beer selection is good, but my favorite menu item is the Reuben. They don't use thin, deli-sliced corned beef. They use actual corned beef brisket... More

We arrived about 5pm for a 3-6pm Happy Hour. It wasn't very busy. Kinda felt 'empty'. Bookshelf FULL of games in the front where it's family friendly and then in the back, it's got tables for 2 to 20 set up. A few people at the bar. Cartoon Network on the only TV. (Nice diversion from the typical news/sports options).... More

This is a German "style" restaurant in the heart of old Ballard, and is perhapss a landmark and an original. Its one of those places you know by the smell, the odd character and charm of the building itself. When I go in here, the employees are usually watching cartoons on the flat screen in the bar, and listening to... More

Don't let the name fool you. This is not some Marxist enclave filled with drunk leftists. The People's Pub located in the Ballard section of Seattle is a laid back restaurant/pub with great food. I had a Bratwurst and a Bockwurst that were marvelous served with best sauerkraut I have ever tasted in the US. My wife had the Rueben... More

This is a great place to grab some drinks and tasty bar food with friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed and although it can get loud it's never been too loud for me.

The Gemanic pub food and great beer selection make this a nice choice. There is a view in the bar.

Nothing suits rainy Seattle weather like hearty German food paired perfectly with local and international microbrews.
