Very Solid Cuisine and Service

This is my second visit to an Ethan Stowell restaurant, and we had a wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter. We dined on a Sunday night, and Mkt was busy. The restaurant is small and tables a bit tight, but the atmosphere was great. On warm days they can open the front as well. I started... read more

Mkt is a very small, quaint restaurant. The kitchen is open and there isn't a lot of seating. We had reservations at 8:15 but the people at our table decided to sit for another 40 minutes after they were done. The staff was wonderful. They felt so bad about us standing and waiting they gave us a delicious fois gras... More

In love with this gem of an establishment. Want to keep it a bit of secret so saying nothing more. Hugs to Matt, Ani and my JC girl.

Walking into the place is like being welcomed into a friends home. Small, warm, inviting and the smell of applewood make you feel instantly at ease. We visited last night with friends had had a great experience. The staff and food are excellent. Flavors in each dish perfectly balanced and proportioned to compliment fresh ingredients, veggies, pastas, meats and fish.... More

Very friendly staff. Our daughter is moving out to Seattle for grad school and the dessert came with a candle to celebrate. That was a nice touch. The green beans and duck leg are really good. So far, the best meal we've had in Seattle during our 3 day visit. Intimate, romantic setting. Not too many tables so make your... More

A very small place but the food is just great. You feel every dish is hand-crafted with a lot of care and attention is given to each detail of the dish. Were we just lucky? But the place was always full and our table occupied as soon as we left. Better make a reservation;

Great food in a tiny, tiny intimate space. Super friendly service. Grilled green bean appetizer is to die for. I had the Wagyu beef which of course was wonderful. My wife had the trout which was nicely herbed. Waiter gamely de-boned it at the table. Good wine list.

The food here was very unique, a haven for people that love to share their food. Two of the really good snacks were the marinated green beans and crispy quail.....yum. It's a bistro-type place, lots of energy and noise and we sat at the front next to the window. I think they tried to jam too many people in the... More

This was our first time here but it will not be our last. Everyone was professional and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Five of us shared eleven plates plus two desserts family style. The crispy duck leg, the pork tenderloin, the handkerchief pasta with shrimp, the beef tartare, the grilled green beans, the... More

This restaurant knocked my sock off. Enjoyed a dinner with two friends who also seak out new culinary experiences and Mkt. provided it all. The three of us shared dishes served family style. The grilled and marinated green beans were colorful, flavorful and crisp and I don't even like beans! Next was roasted cauliflower soup which was heavenly, followed by... More
