Strolling thru Pike's Market on an foodie adventure, I stumbled upon this no frills bakery thanks to the line of hungry tourists ordering Russian goodness. Since I was already stuffed, I returned the next day (it's advisable to go to the market early in the morning - no lines) I ordered the popular beef and cheese pirosky - savory yummy... More

We stopped in to take a look and wound up ordering a meat and onion Piroshky. It was fantastic!! I wish I had one right now! The filling was warm, the pastry was lightly crispy and flaky. Great meal on the go or just something to share with some friends. This is a must try!!

We travel to Seattle several times every year. The cherry white chocolate and cardamom piroshki's are two of our favorites. You do have to wait in line since it is right in the Pikes Market area, but it is worth it.

We had a variety of piroshkis. The smoked salmon is to die for....definitely worth the wait in line. Equally delicious, is the rhubarb piroshky- It is sweet and tart. We bought ours to eat as we wondered the market. I imagine they aren't very good left over or the next day. They aren't cheap ($3.50-$6.50 each) and are full of... More

There's a reason they have a line out the door, I didn't really "get it" at first myself, a bun stuffed with meat and veggies? But then I tried one and it all made sense. Beef and onion goes together so well to begin with, they surround it with a delicious golden pastry that you can walk and eat, it... More

This is a little place right in Pike's Place market that serves a million different kinds of large pirogi. There was a small line, but we waited and it only took about 5 minutes to get in. We tried the beef and cheese and the smoked salmon. Both were piping hot and some of the most delicious snacks/meals. It's a... More

A great bakery that Sarah Palin can probably see from her house. After Tetris and Anna Kournikova, this is the best import from mother Russia. The meat pastries are nice and flavorful and packed with meat. The cheese and onion are also well balanced. The crust is a bit flaky for me, but the insides make it worthwhile. Get in... More

We discovered Piroshky Piroshky four visits ago and have not missed the chance to eat here on each visit. Always a line, but it moves pretty fast. Be sure to add an Oscar's Star to your order!

My picky daughter would not eat any mushrooms but having tried the potatoes and mushrooms piroshky, she now loves mushrooms. We had the savory and the sweets and all are so good and yes, bad for us too. It was the best we've ever had. Must eat right there and then, don't wait.
