OK place

I met a former business associate and his wife here. Decor was traditional steak house but nice. Our waiter was a little clueless in Seattle when we had to convince him we really wanted dessert. Entrées and appetizers were passable.

We have been eating at F.X. McRory's just about every time we have been in Seattle over the last 20 years. We usually will dine there before walking over to Safeco Field (about a 10 minute walk). Over the years, the prime rib (called roasting box beef) has been consistently good with a terrific home made horseradish. The seafood is... More

This upscale bar and grill is nearby my work. Consequently, I have eaten here numerous times. It is a nice historical, open and friendly place with an impressive bar selection. Since it is one of the oldest establishments in the Pioneer Square area and serves classic PNW seafood like crab, osters and salmon, it does a brisk business. In addition,... More

We had a business dinner at McRory's last week. Starters were quite a treat, with the potato skins and calamari really standing out. Almost everyone seemed very pleased with their entrees. Given that this was Seattle, the seafood was uniformly excellent, particularly the wild salmon. Despite their reputation as a steak house, some of the beef dishes were less than... More

Mediocre expectation (if we'd entered with high expectations we would not have been disappointed)? Ahi Sandwich and my wife had the chicken chop chop. They were both wonderful and we left nary a crumb!. The waiter was so attentive and professional we made a point of telling the owner on our way out. The old fashions were classic and overall... 7 pm on a Friday night and the bar is empty. The waitress is inattentive, the clam chowder lukewarm, the fries cold, the cod watery and flavorless and my wife's Ruben is ok. Fifty bucks later the best thing was my hefeweizen. This bar makes serious money because of its location near the stadiums, but it would fail if it... More

This place is THE liquor library. If they don't have it, they probably don't make it anymore. Very friendly staff, the place is clean, food is good and reasonably priced. But seriously, you have to check out this bar!

While at the Seattle boat show for a few days, I wanted to take advantage of the various happy hours menus that I could. I saw this place while walking by coming back from another happy hour. It didn't seem overly busy but it took forever for the waitress to get to us. Decent happy hour menu with good drink... More

This was the only MID-priced restaurant in Pioneer Square that could or would accommodate my very strict dietary concerns. The service was really friendly and helpful. The food is really only average and the place needs a good cleaning and some serious remodeling to keep up with what else is happening in the area. It's starting to look shabby. However,... More

This place is the worst I have been in Seattle. Service is bad, they gave me a glass that was broken on top. They provided a bottle of soda without glass and the fish and chips tasted like a mcdolands filet o fish but paid 4 times the price.
