We were told about the Portage Bay Café so we decided to try it. We loved it! Huge selection of breakfast items. I had scrambled eggs with chicken apple sausage with French toast. Huge slices of French toast. I had the breakfast bar with my French toast, indulging in blue berries, marionberries, raspberries, blackberries, whipped cream. So much to choose... More

I can't seem to stop going to Portage Bay...I was originally sent to Portage Bay when I traveled to Seattle for an interview and now I take just about everyone I know. The breakfast bar - which includes berries, nuts, whipped cream, and other local deliciousness - is the real highlight of each location. I have always enjoyed prompt, friendly... More

Amazing selection of healthy food! The eggs benedict was really good and the French toast is huge! You get the breakfast bar with the french toast and it's loaded with fruit and other items. Fast friendly service.

We made a reservation through Open Table to ensure a table. The people we were meeting were almost 30 minutes late. Our server was extremely patient, serving us coffee while we waited. I shared a plate with my daughter ($6 shared plate charge) because I knew they served large portions. We added the chicken sausage on the side. Along with... More

The Eggs Benedict were perfect - and using the home-cured ham made it even more so (perfect-er?). Nice "breakfast bar" for add-ons such as fresh seasonal fruit and whipped cream. Nicely cooked hash-browns (tender on the inside, crispy on the outside). Excellent service and good coffee (and I'm not easy to please on coffee!). HUGE PANCAKES - my large-appetite husband... More

Sunday 1pm. We were a party of 8. Kids get their ears covered wih their hands almost the whole time. Adults couldn't have a normal conversation. Extremely noisy (ceiling panels could help reduce noise level). Food is ok. Prices are reasonnable. A 18% tip is by default added to the check...

My husband and I were in town visiting friends and they suggested that we go to Portage Bay for breakfast. We both ordered the French toast which came with a breakfast bar with fruit, sauces and whip cream. They also had your traditional maple syrup but why choose that when you can have fresh raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. This place... More

The have the most amazing selection of dishes, savory and sweet. The berry bar, which comes with the pancakes and such features fresh local finds. Delicious, most filling, and fun! A must to visit. They have a few locations. No wonder there is a line out the door.

This is certainly a favorite of locals, from the long lines (we had a reservation) and bustling service on Sunday brunch. And for good reason: they serve excellent and slightly upscale brunch food, nice pancakes and waffles, cool omelets - I got the house pancakes which were truly delicious, not the dry and bland typical pancake-house version. And you get... More
