Eat like you give a damn

That's the slogan on the coffee cups. "Eat like you give a damn." And I think it fits. These people have some good food. Locally sourced. I'm not sure it was healthy (there's a french toast topping bar with all kinds of awesome stuff), but I tell myself that if it's local and sustainable it MUST be... read more

It is very noisy here. Full of Amazonians at lunch..I had the veggie burger which came with a side salad...the lettuce was not cold, burger was ok but it had a mushy texture and fell apart...it would be better served with the excellent roll toasted on the side and a more generous serving of the excellent but barely there sauce,... We visited Portage in South Lake Union on June 20 one day prior to Father's Day. I had heard so many great things about the restaurant and it took me years to finally trek to Seattle from the Eastside for breakfast. We were so excited about going. The staff is very unfriendly and unwelcoming- from host/hostess to wait staff. We... More

My Husband and I visited the south Lake union location on a busy Sunday for brunch. We made reservations ahead, so we only had to wait 5 mins past our reservation time. The café was busy. Yes it was sunday brunch...to be expected. We ordered our meal and drinks. The Orange juice and coffee arrived very quickly. However no spoon... More

It was a busy holiday weekend but we were taken care of in a timely manner. Our food was amazing. I had classic French toast and used the fruit bar to customize it. So delicious!

Food was great and so was the service. Went for a Sunday am brunch. Place was packed, and they weren't accepting anymore reservations- we lucked out and sat right away outside. Service was quick, particularly considering the crowd! Food was very good.

My husband and I received great recommendations for our hotel staff for breakfast. We walked for a while and were fortunately to arrive without a wait on a Saturday morning. Once seated, we were entertained by the local flair of the servers and the ambiance. Breakfast is served all day and we had a difficult time choosing between so many... More

Loved this place. Went for breakfast on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. Not sure if they take reservations. We sat at the bar and ate. Food was DELICIOUS and servings were HUGE!! I could've just sat here and ate all day. Great atmosphere.

I ASK YOU - would you say no to a fresh fruit and toppings bar? Would you say no to bananas foster french toast? Would you say no to kitchen and restaurant staff who really care about you eating wholesome, local and organic food? Didn't think so. This is my absolute favorite breakfast spot in the Seattle area. Favorite dishes... More

DEFINITELY the best brunch in Seattle! Try the Farmer's Hash, wash it down with a Guava Mimosa...and maybe you'll also be lucky enough to have Angela wait on you:-) But only eat here if you give a damn;-)
