Great food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced and the service and food were great! Had the BLT..the bread was awesome. Friends had the veggie sandwich and the chicken satay. Great homemade slaw and potato salad.

It was late, cold and raining outside, but inside West 5 was warm, dry and inviting. The menu had lots of delicious options, but I saw Caesar salad and I was happy. Almost. My husband and one son each had the soft tacos with beef. My husband loved his, my 8 yr old, not so much. Our 10 yo had... More

We found out about West 5 from a friend of my wife. The decor has a very 60's bowling alley feel and it a lot of fun. It has a very active bar scene (even on Saturday morning) and seems popular with a young crowd. The food is very good and is reasonably priced. The service was good and our... More

I love this place. They are always seeking to improve the menu, to tweak dishes, and it works. Anyone who's been there also knows the bar is fantastic. I go all the time, most of the time with a friend. It's our "go to" in West Seattle. Most recent visit, I had the Cobb salad. Man, that was a plate... More

I met a friend for happy hour yesterday. The service was awesome and the drinks were well priced. And the food was very good and very cheap. We shared a couple of $4 items and they were more than enough to munch on for the two of us. Well done. Very comfy place, not pretentious at all, but isn't that... More

Happy hour Manny's and a ruben and we are set! Salads are nice and fresh, mac and cheese has a great following as well. It is pretty dark inside, but if you are ok with that vibe this is a wonderful place to visit.

Noisy, fairly expensive and greasy food. Not high on our list. They used to have decent appetizers but the that list has been culled down to a bare minimum. Totally average food but pricey average food and not atmosphere. An old highway diner atmosphere,

Always friendly plus righteous pours on drinks. Wide ranging menu...the Mac and Cheese is deservedly an award winner. Food is always at least decent at minimum, and prepared with care.

You are likely to meet the owner, which is a nice change. The food is great -- a mix of updated comfort food (mac & cheese is divine), updated bar appetizers, and some surprises. There is a full bar and a great list of microbrews. The ONLY downside is the limited number of tables. But then again, the biggest UPSIDE... More

West Five is the kind of place you go when you're hungry and don't quite know what you want. Their menu is varied and interesting, and the food is always good. Nothing high-end, fancy or groundbreaking here. But the place is lively without being annoying and the service is brisk and fun.
