Good Choice

This place is bigger than it looks. We were seated all the way on the north end where you had to take a few turns to get to, but it was like having our own private room without the doors. As others have commented, the wait staff is great (refreshing change from other types of Asian restaurants... read more

We came here with friends, who have eaten there every time they come to this neighborhood. We enjoyed the friendly and professional service, the appetizers, the main meal, the naan, the sauces that come with it, and - - - oh, the chai! Fabulous. My husband chose the gyro from the Mediterranean menu, and I had mango curry with tofu... More

First off, the food is delicious. We had the standards - tikka masala, saar paneer, chicken curry, navratam korma - and all were excellent. The paneer is clearly fresh. And we went on valentine's day, thinking that it wouldn't be crazy busy as the food is delicious but who feels romantic after loading up on Indian food? Apparently, everyone else... More

Recommended by a friend. Great menu selections, lots of vegan and gluten free options, busy place. Large portions. We could have shared with 2 other people. Chicken dishes melt in your mouth and the spinach paag was Yummy! The wait staff was great, expect not to rush in here, great food takes time to prepare. I will come again.

Taste of India offers not only Indian dishes, but it also has a small selection of Mediterranean dishes. It should stick to one thing and do it well. I chose from the Mediterranean menu, and my husband chose Indian. Neither of us did well. My babaganoush did not have much of the smoky taste which makes it so distinctive. (I... More

We have visited this restaurant on and off four times over four years. Each time we have come out happy and satisfied. The hot chai while we waited was a life-saver and the chana masala, paneer dishes and the naans were delicious. We were also served excellent complimentary fritters - pakoras with mint and tamarind chutney. Even the three year... More

The only Indian restaurant in Seattle whose food is closer to Pakistani. I liked the food. Service is a bit slow but they do give you heads up for 20 mom delay for most of the items in menu.

We loved the food, went for lunch, the staff could not have been any nicer. They gave my friends each a complimentary to go cup of chai tea. We were thrilled!

This restaurant is unique, it's an Indian that's not an Indian, despite it not having many dishes I recognised on the menu, when I said I wanted a jalfrezi he said not a problem they would make it for me, sadly it wasn't actually like any jalfrezi I had ever had, it wasn't unpleasant but it wasn't what I expected.... This is a sibling restaurant to the Cedars in U district (Indian food, not the one on 43rd) and used to serve much better food for value than Cedars, but it has become somewhat like Cedars. Their food was good, but not good enough for the increase in price about a year or so ago. Still, it is one of... More
