There was our lunch stop when we arrived to Pike Market. It was a long line to order and very tight space for sitting at the tables. You would order at the bar, you can choose salad bar or from the menu, both look good and than you have to find a table. It was Friday lunch crowd and quite... More

I rarely buy crab cakes: they often taste fishy, smell fishy, and are, as a result, an overall waste of money. Not here. In this loud, crazy, barely held together chaos of a room, staffed with extremely friendly people, their crab cakes were delicious, fresh as fresh can be, and served by great people. Go. Eat.

Enter Pike Place Market at the juncture of Pike Street and Pike Place and walk straight through the crowd to the end of the ramp that leads to a windowed public seating area overlooking the harbor. Sound View Cafe is down a few steps to the right. Grab a table by the windows before you order at the counter and... More

We stopped in for breakfast right when they opened and all their food looked great. We ordered the Market omelet which has shrimp and salmon and the Salmon egg Benedict. The food and service were great and you have a great view

Pike's Place was packed, but we managed to find this jewel with a great view of the Sound. We both had a bowl of Clam Chowder. Huge bowls! Terrific chowder! Definitely recommend this place. They have a variety of items on the menu.

Arrived around 4pm and it was about 90% full but were able to get a window seat. The hostess and waitress were both very nice with friendly smiles. My salmon was cooked nicely with great flavor but sort of a small portion for price. But it is in the center of a huge tourist trap so that's to be expected.... More

While visiting Pike Place Market we came across this small, crowded restaurant and decided to stop and have lunch. They are located under the market's clock, straight down the hallway. I had the barbecue salmon sandwich which was very good. My sister had the crab cakes which see enjoyed also. Seating is limited and self service.

We had just been done the local tourist deal with the Pike Street Fish Market, gum wall, 1st Starbucks and several other stops and needed some food to re-fuel. The Sound View Cafe fit the bill just right, great view of the Puget Sound, quality food and even pretty good beer choices. Its somewhat cafeteria style where you order at... More

The wife and I have been eating breakfast at the Sound View restaurant at Pikes a Place Mkt for past 35 years whenever we visit Pikes Place. One has to order at the counter from menu on the wall but it is local restaurant not a franchise fast food. I always have 3 eggs and turkey sausage. Great sourdough toast... More
