After wandering the Pike Market for a restaurant offering seafood in the mid-afternoon, we found the Sound View Cafe. Other restaurants had very limited menus after 2:00pm. The SV Cafe was a seat-yourself place with great views of the sound. You order at the counter and they serve the meal at your table. We ordered the appetizer crab cakes and... More

I wander in here for breakfast, found a wonderful view of the sound. At 7AM it wasn't too busy. Being my first time here I didn't know how it worked, but you order at the counter and find a place to sit. So I order my breakfast and found a table. The waiter was pleasant and the food was good.... More

It was relaxing to sit here at this restaurant and view the boats out in the water, see the tall Seattle Wheel, and eat wonderful food. I had an amazing Salmon Ceaser Salad for lunch. This restaurant uses all local grown foods; all organic grown and uses fresh baked breads every day on their menu. They offer a small salad... More

Walked here from hotel, a nice water view and view of the large ferris wheel. Waitress was very good and explained a couple of the popular dishes. I had the seafood Saute $19.95 which was very good. She recommended the seafood platter which a couple people had at our table and they liked it and I wished I had ordered... More

Counter service with a great view of the sound. Crab cakes are quite good. The lemonade is good, but not spectacular. The salad bar looked great. The clam chowder seemed thickened with flour.

Stuck in the market during lunch hour. It's a bit of a wait and very crowded; especially during tourist season. Please note -- this isn't a fast food restaurant so be patient. We ordered several items and were happy with the burger. Thick! We were very unhappy with the tuna fish sandwiches. When they served them, we thought they had... More

The view from this place is unbeatable! The lines are long to order, and you can't sit at a table while someone else gets food, so you're in line and get to sit after you get food. It's a good system; we found a table right away. The food was very good. We had the crab cake burger, which was... More

We arrived for brunch. The cafe had a rowdy group of tourists playing with the food and taking lots of photos. We ordered a vegetarian omelet and a plate of side orders for one because that person is a celiac. To receive the order they call out a name and you let them know. My companion thought his name was... More

The food was excellent and the view of the sound is amazing. We ordered our food at the counter then picked out a table next to the windows for a panaramic view of the water and sound. I got the chowder and a salad and both were fresh and homemade with ingredients right from the attached pike place market.
