I went to Sam's twice. The first time, I met some friends for dinner after I had already eaten, so I didn't order anything. Their orders for nigiri came out almost immediately, while rolls took some time. My friend who used to work in a sushi restaurant said it passed his test (good rice, in-house tamagoyaki, fish tasted the way... More

This Ballard sushi joint is a wonderful spot. Warm and inviting, you will feel at home. The food is delicious. This may sound strange, but they have the best ginger salad dressing; it's worth getting the "ordinary" salad, just for the dressing! The salmon roll is very good and the Ballard roll is, fittingly, yummy. They remember us every time... More

Love Sam's Sushi. I'm not a fan of conveyor belt or buffet-style sushi. This seems like authentic sushi with great service. It's rarely crowded but don't let that fool you. It's a low key place to go. I also discovered they do take-out. And I live a block away...

good Japanese food, good food, friendly service and chef, good value; easy to access on Queen Anne Ave N, esp if you’re staying in Mediterranean Inn; despite name, restaurant has sashimi (always mouthwatering and fresh); eat in or take out

This place was only half a block from our hotel - we ended up eating there twice! The sushi is amazing and the prices are great. I loved the snowflake roll. Service was friendly and prompt and the fish was so fresh. I'd highly recommend this one!

I always get the Large Sashimi plate. About $20 for a lot of fish. Well prepared, quick and very tasty. The staff are always friendly.

I was impressed with the great taste for the great price! They were very friendly and attentive. The sushi was made quickly. I was intrigued with the Unagi (eel), which was only listed as barbequed on the menu. It was not something I had seen at other sushi restaurants, but it was good none the less. I will be eating... I like the food and hated the parking. Parking anywere in Seattle sucks due to high parking rates. The restaurant was great though!

Always a family favorite when we are looking for Japanese cuisine. Located just off Market street and around the corner from the Majestic Bay theater, this cozy restaurant fits the bill for a night out in Ballard. Prompt friendly service greets you at the door. The menu offers standard fare with a few specialty sushi rolls for fun. Bento boxes,... More

I recommend Sam's Sushi. The restaurant is a medium-sized sushi restaurant. Our server was friendly and helpful (we had questions about some menu items). The prices were reasonable. (You can get a fairly large meal for $15!) The dining area itself was not elegant, but was welcoming and clean. Bottom line....good sushi, reasonably priced, very near Seattle Center! I recommend...
