Silver lining to a bad day

After a very hot Seattle day (July 3) and a disappointing check in at our Seattle rental, we happened upon this restaurant. Thank goodness. It was busy but they found us a beautiful view table within about 20 minutes. Our server, Ignacio, was probably the biggest reason for the "very good... read more

The view across Elliott Bay of the whole panoramic Seattle skyline is incredible, and the service was fine, but we expected much more from the food. Our seafood chowder was pasty and under-seasoned. A Caesar salad was fine, but the Crispy Oregon Rockfish entree, while overcooked, was not the least bit crispy. It was supposed to be topped with a... More

A big restaurant with big views and a parking lot. The food and service are basically average. Decor is a bit tired but the restaurant is laid out well with various levels so that most tables have a lovely view of the Seattle skyline. Good for groups and parties with children

Took my boyfriend and my best friend here to eat. Both being boys and from Chicago and food lovers, they devoured Salty's amazing assortment of seafood. My mom and I were so amazed that we ended up just going back and forth to get them the next plate to eat. Pricey but worth every penny!

What a fabulous seafood institution! The view was very picturesque, the seafood was creative and fresh while the waitstaff was attentive.

There is not a more Seattle view of Seattle than the view you get from Salty's on Harbor Avenue. The food is delicious, the service fine, the decor and atmosphere in keeping with the view and location, making this a great place to visit or to take visitors if you are a Seattle resident. Enjoy, but don't be in a... More

Took my girlfriend for her birthday lunch. We were immediately greeted and seated indoors (as requested) by the window. Beautiful views!! We both had mixed green salads with chicken. While we received quite a bit of salad, thought they skimped on the chicken (for $7.50 each should have had a whole chicken breast.) Service was quick. They also gave my... More

The food was excellent for a buffet and the choices were plentiful. They put some fresh made, warm, yummy, mini-donuts on the table when they seated us, as if were weren't going to be getting enough food. I focused on the shellfish (crab legs, peel-n-eat shrimp, fresh shucked oysters, clams, and mussels). Everything I tried was good! It was busy,... More

Salty's on Alki Beach was such a great place to enjoy a fresh seafood/fish dinner on the last night of our Seattle vacation! It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was already quite busy at around 5:00 when we arrived (partly due to Happy Hour). We were happy we had our Open Table reservation, & we'd recommend it, particularly... More
